February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

P.S. I'm so sick of Fox News only talking about Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, blah, blah, blah... :(

You must be the lucky one. I only get BowFlex Ads and miracle pills that only cost you shipping and handling. The entertainment news I thought was on Entertainment Tonight. It is pathetic there is virtually no real news coverage involving our troops or Iraq, Afganistan, or Pakistan except in small captions under the screen that run by so quickly we have to watch for them to come back across the screen to see if we really read it.

Whoa, that sounds very serious. Have you tried dialing customer service at Kelloggs? Website or anything. I would notify the grocery store where you bought it too - right away in case there are more like that on the shelves.

Only thing is that this was inside the plastic sealed package inside the box, so I'm thinking it had to come from Kelloggs?? I e-mailed them, and will see what happens. Thankfully I didn't open it and put it in my pantry!!

Good thing it was light enough in the kitchen to see this. Sometimes in the morning you just rip open the plastic package and pour. Yuck!! It was almost as thick as gauze.....Oh, I hope you're done with your bagel. ^ g ^

Were you shopping at one of the chains where the stores were on strike? I know we've had horrible food situations (and I'm not all that far from you) b/c of the strikes...things in the stores that are WAY past expiration dates, etc...stories about milk being 3 weeks past the date on the cartons, etc...

Perhaps it had been in the warehouse a long time b/c there weren't as many distributions, etc?

Just a thought...but I'd also let the store know.......

Actually I bought it at Longs Drug Store. They sell a lot of this type of product usually cheaper than the stores.
I usually shop at Trader Joes and I'm so glad the strike will be over so the crowds at TJ's will go away.

I see the burning flag as a wish to start destruction on all four corners of America and see it spread to the middle, until we are all burned out.

The WTC burned, California burned her forests last year and if you doubt it was terrorists, go and read the FReeper reports, the police reports were mostly reports of more fires and the white van they were hunting.

Burning is easy, my 2 year old daughter, almost burned me alive, by playing with a Zippo lighter, in my bed while I was asleep.

Managed to burn half my long hair off and no skin, but ruined the bed.

So fire is a basic path to destruction.

I don't think that there is any one person that will make a difference in this jihad. If you capture every top name it will continue.

It has begun and will continue, until we loose or win.

If Arafat drops dead, it won't make Israel safe and we are in the same boat.

I cannot get my own family to see that the jihad is in every country on earth, to face the fact that this is the century that the muslims intend to rule the world.

Looking at that picture again of the flag burning it looks like the northeast (New York), the mouth of the Mississippi where the boats collided twice, the southwest perhaps LA and the northwest perhaps Seattle.

My brother works in a major brand food warehouse, on the equipment, he says even he, (who sees nothing), had noticed that the pallets of foods sat there 2 or 3 years, before going to the grocery store.

I buy my dry foods from:

Waltonfeed.com

You can smell the freshness when you open a bag of oatmeal or brown sugar. The beans are so plumb, you won't know they are the same thing as is what is on the store shelf.

No, I don't have any connection to them, I choose them, when I found them on the Mormon lists and haven't been sorry.

I pay for UPS shipping and it comes to the house, and is still cheaper than shopping in Kingman for groceries.

People don't wish to know, Granny, last night I was telling some friends about the dead divers in NY and FL and the Honolulu Harbor search; people were incredulous about it, not considering the oddity of a diver in the Hudson in the middle of February.

Those of us who see and understand the threat have an inkling of what the AntiNazis must have gone through in the long decade of the 30's as the world wished upon a star in Hitler's benevolence.

Yes, and Texas.

I don't think that it is the bombs that are so important, as it is that they will strike and fire is the easiest way to do it.

Isn't it amazing that they don't mind burning muslims right along with us.

During the California fires, they were starting them with books of matches, cheap lighters and fancy fire starters.

I loved the police report of people on the side of the freeway and a fire.........

When the officer arrived, it was another arson fire, and the "People" were the Americans who had stopped to put it out and had done so.

I lived 27 years in the San Diego area, so was following the story last year.

My thanks to all the FReepers who put the hours of work into the research on the fire threads, they deserve an award.

You are correct, people would rather smoke a joint and "Chill out"......... Any thing to forget.

I didn't do the joints or alcohol, but read books to forget it all, now those books are coming back to haunt me.

I remember WW2, my dad was a mechanic and we lived at San Ysidro, while they were building the airport and he also worked in the shipyards.

I didn't go to work with dad at the ship yard, but did at the airport. Other girls played with dolls, I got the 5/16th socket wrench for him. In those days we had "Monkey Wrenches" too.......LOL.....how is that for age.

I think the Monkey Wrench is the forerunner of the crescent wrench... (note that muslim word).

By the end of the war, my favorite days were spent on Otay Mesa, at the airport there, playing in the wrecked airplanes.

As I was only pretending to fly, (was 30 years old before I took my first flight), the guards left me alone. But I have long known and felt the souls of the pilots who flew those planes to fight a war.

I don't remember the names of the airports, one of them was Ream Field, not sure which.

So I have always known what real war was all about and have known for years that we would one day fight it on our American soil.

Or we can join the one world party (communist) and become robots who do as told or die.

I am an American 3/4 Cherokee, so my soul cries out for "FREEDOM", not for a clinton wannabe to tell me how to live and think.

Yes I remember that thread, we were monitoring the radio scanners and local TV reports and reporting here on FR. That was a frightening couple of days. I don't think they ever caught those guys in the van.

Thanks for the Walton Feed site, I found something interesting there as I've always worried about being able to cook in the event of an emergency. (Nuwick candles)

Here's two I like as well, also in Idaho and one in California!!
http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/

http://www.justtomatoes.com/

NUWICK candles are unique! Only NUWICK 120 hour and 44 hour candles provide a non-toxic, self contained source for lighting, heating and cooking. NUWICK candles are a fail-safe, basic staple for those who are well prepared, active and environmentally aware.

The moveable wicks are the patented innovation behind the NUWICK products! (Contains NO LEAD)

LIGHT. HEAT. COOK. Boil water in 14 minutes. Fry an egg in 5 minutes. Each lead-free, totally non-toxic, moveable, reusable and waterproof wick will burn 25-40 hours. Use up to a maximum of three (3) wicks simultaneously, depending on the task. Only two (2) wicks needed for cooking

On one of the survival lists years ago, they were experimenting with 3# coffee cans, filled with sawdust/wood shavings and candle wax poured over the whole works, yes, it had 3 or 5 wicks stuck in it.

Some said it worked for cooking food. You might need to put beer can opener holes at the top, to get air circulation, when a pot is placed on top.

My son sailed through the harbor about a year ago- there was absolutely no security. (He said you could bring anything in by sailboat) Reminds me a little bit about the attack on the Cole.

OK, I did a google search for:

names of countries involved in muslim jihad

It is a search worth doing for yourself.

Holy War

Good Link
Where and How of Al-Qaida

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/al_quaida

Al-Fatiha Board of Directors
(meet some of our American muslims)

This is what you are fighting

Read some of the attached posts, I didn't read them all, and don't forget that our tax dollars pay for them to learn to hate us.
