Now why does finding a cake, with a surprise in it bother me.

I was pulling the Kings Cake from a weak memory, but think that you are correct. Does it not sometimes have coins and rings also?

The bride, groom, cake and candles was the topic yesterday, I am not sure there is a picture.

I fear that they are working up to a frenzy, that every loss will push them further over the edge.

The poster claims that we have Osama.

He also claims to work for one of the "big three" networks and to have scooped the Saddam capture story here on FR before it was broadcast.

I looked at the poster's profile, and it does appear the the poster did scoop the Saddam capture story by a little bit of time, if I remember that day correctly. If this is true, the repercussions are going to be huge.

"Report: Osama bin Laden captured along Afghanistan-Pakistan border"

"Osama bin Laden has been captured along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, according to a report Saturday on Tehran Radio."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "In the report quoting "knowledgeable sources," the official Iranian media outlet does not specify when the Al-Qaida leader was captured, and the report has yet to be confirmed elsewhere.

It said that Bin Laden was apprehended in a region populated by tribes along the border of the two countries, adding that U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld visit to Pakistan on Thursday was related to capturing the Al-Qaida leader."

I've got a feeling that this is it. Too many things are coming together. I was about ready to turn in for a few hours of sleep, but those plans are shot. :) I'll be waiting for the news stations to break in with the news...

"11 killed in shooting near Afghan border"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WANA, Pakistan: Pakistani forces opened fire on a minibus when it failed to stop at a roadblock in a tribal region where anti-terrorism operations have been ongoing, killing at least 11 people, two local officials and a resident told The Associated Press.

The shooting occurred early Saturday, the morning after armed men and soldiers exchange fire at a military compound in the region. Pakistani forces have been carrying out a sweep for terrorist suspects, and tension is high in the area.

The minibus failed to stop at a roadblock in Zeri Noor, a village just outside of Wana, the main town in tribal South Waziristan, two Wana officials told AP on condition of anonymity. The officials put the death toll at 11."

I've been following that thread since right after it was posted. I was just going to take a quick peek at the news then follow dr.'s orders to stay horizontal as much as possible. So much for that! All of a sudden my back isn't bothering me a bit! LOL!!

Let's hope this one is for real! The rumors lately have worn us all out, I'm sure, and a chance for celebration is in order. Do ya reckon the collective dancing and "WOOHOOOs" that ensue when it's finally announced will register on the Richter Scale? :-D

I will be overjoyed, but also a little wary. The official announcement of OBL's capture could cause the jihadis to go off of the deep end. If we have withheld the news of his capture for the last month, it is probably because we wanted to prepare our defenses for the announcement. It's not too hard to believe that there are cells with suicide missions if OBL is captured or killed.

I know it's the operative word but still have hopes. It's still from one source unless the poster has a different source of his own.
