February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

No it is not empty. Clear your cache or set your prefferences to renew page every time. There is a bad boo-boo on the page. There is an image with the same location as the home page. This Stores a blank page in your cache and your browswer thinks that is current.

I found the War Games info. that I posted last night by googling for "ships". And even though the info was new is was on about the 3rd or 4th page. I have yet to see the War Games mentioned on any regular news site. Once Cindy posted the Cuba Proclamatian document, the Guantanamo hypothesis just seemed to fit.

Considering the boat loads of Haitian refugees that the Florida Coast Guard are dealing with, I think that it also makes sense that we need to be on alert for who is on these boats...

Police Seek Public's Help To ID Diver

Hollywood police need help identifying a diver found floating Wednesday off John U. Lloyd State Park in Dania Beach.

A park ranger saw the body about 7:05 a.m. and pulled it ashore. The diver was dressed in a wet suit but had no diving tank or weight belt. There were no unattended boats or cars nearby. The current was strong, and police said the man appeared to have been dead for at least several hours, Hollywood police said.

An autopsy revealed the man may have died under suspicious circumstances, but police would not elaborate.

The man is described as a white male with reddish hair and a mustache. He was 5-foot-10 and weighed about 180 pounds.

My guess is that who ever serves as your DNS look up does not have there tables up to date. I have the IP address that a trace route gives me, but it does not load her site for some reason. I am no expert on why that is. Maybe someone else knows how to get around the DNS. Maybe the IP I get is Wrong. IP 216.40.217.209

Israeli-Palestinian Clashes at Jerusalem Shrine (Temple Mount)

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli police threw stun grenades Friday at Palestinian stonethrowers at a Jerusalem shrine known as the Temple Mount to Jews and revered as al-Haram al-Sharif to Muslims, a police spokesman said.

Police spokesman Gil Kleiman said Muslim worshippers "started rioting" at the end of Friday prayers at the shrine, a frequent flashpoint for Israeli-Palestinian violence. "Police went on to the Temple Mount. They used stun grenades. The rioting is still going on," Kleiman said.

Converting to Islam is the new form of rebellion for children of the wealthy. Mommy and daddy aren't paying sufficient attention to junior, so junior makes a play for attention. We had hippies and free love in the 60-70's. Drugs, long hair and leftist, environmentalist leanings have been popular since then. Punk, piercings and brightly dyed hair has been the mode of rebellious behavior for today's teens. Now that Islam is attacking Western civilization, the rebellious act of choice is to embrace Islam. It's a deadly form of rebellion. A one-way choice. Like joining the drug culture, you are likely to be killed if you try to get out.

The Taliban is dead as a movement or a military factor in Afghanistan, the country's president said here Feb. 26, and former Taliban leaders seeking to return home will be allowed back if they don't have criminal records.

President Hamid Karzai held a joint news conference with U.S. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld after they met in Afghanistan's presidential palace. He challenged the implications of a question posed by a correspondent from the Arab satellite television network al Jazeera that implied al Qaeda and the Taliban were becoming increasingly active in the country.

"Everything that happens in Afghanistan is not terrorist-related," Karzai said. "Lack of security at times is not Taliban-related or security-related. There is banditry too. There is theft too. There is armed robbery too." He said ascribing crimes common in any country and any major city to the Taliban because it happens in Afghanistan is vastly overstating the case.

"We strongly believe, with evidence, that they are defeated. They're gone," Karzai said, referring to the Taliban. For example, he said, a terrorist who recently killed 19 children in Kandahar tried to hide in a house, but the woman living there delivered him to the police. Citizens have turned in terrorists in four or five other cases in recent months, he noted.

Rumsfeld echoed Karzai's assessment of the Taliban. "I've not seen any indication that the Taliban pose a military threat to Afghanistan," he said.

"We don't see a resurgence of the Taliban," Karzai said. "The Taliban as a movement does not exist anymore. You'd be surprised, gentleman from al Jazeera, if I disclosed to you as to how many approaches we have from the Taliban on a daily basis – individuals (and) groups coming to talk to us to let them back into the country."

He acknowledged that terrorist incidents and even some Taliban-related activities still occur, but repeated that most crime in the country is "normal life."

The Taliban leaders contacting Afghan officials "recognize that Afghanistan is now a better place for all of us to live in" and would like to return and benefit from that. Karzai said all Taliban who do not have criminal records and were not involved with al Qaeda or terrorism "are free to return to their country and live a normal life."

PAKISTANI FORCES CHASE AL-QAIDA MEMBERS

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani forces moved into selected areas of their country's border with Afghanistan after satellite telephone intercepts indicated al-Qaida members were hiding there, security officials told The Associated Press on Friday.

There was no indication al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was involved in the conversations, but two intelligence officials said participants discussed a man called "Shaikh" — a code name for bin Laden.
