I agree with you and others about that classic FedEx commercial. I'm giving a speech at a major fund-raiser in two weeks, and one line I will use is this:

"If I were an ordinary politician, I would suggest that my opponent is the spaun of Satan, and if he lies and cheats his way into office, this Republic is DOOMED." I think that line will get a good laugh.
