Why is no one talking about the self-esteem impact on the Comanche Indian Nation? You got your AH-64 Apache, your OV-1 Mohawk, the AH-1 Sioux, even the OH-58 Kiowa. Kiowa? I'll bet the Comanche could kick the butt of any of those tribes but nooooo, Rummy has to go ahead and cancel their Helicopter. The Comanche program was started in 1983 and had survived many reviews. Initial production was scheduled to begin in 2006.

Could a project begun with 1983 technology be the best option for 2006+ world? Was it reflecting modern technology, or did it become obsolete on the drawing board? (I don't know the specifics of the system.)

Seems whole thing is a big mistake but par for the government. Government contracts=the least amount of work for the most money.
