I agree. The GOP spokesmen leave much to be desired.

Unfortunately, the only way this one is going to disappear is if there is some kind of documentary proof that Bush was there - this pot has been stirred too often. I really wish Gen. Turnipseed had kept his mouth shut, and I bet he does, too.

You're kidding, right? There's been an abundance of documentary proof. The democrats/media have chosen to ignore it, along with ignoring the several witnesses who have come forward to state they remember GWB serving in Alabama.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this story turned from a lying hit piece on GWB into a discovery of an illegal contribution from another Turnipseed to Edwards?

Real interesting that a lawyer asked a waiter to go to an Edwards fundraiser. Even more interesting that a waiter, with an outstanding credit problem, would give $500.00. Wonder what that means?

Dollars to donuts that $500 donation was given to the waiter Turnipseed by lawyer Calhoun.

Lawyer Hamilton probably did it. I suspect that the reporter knew this as well. That's most likely why he put the following in the article:

Hamilton, donor records show, donated the maximum $2,000 to Edwards last year, and has contributed to the campaigns of other Democrats.
