Well, this islamic warfare hits the USA as well.. A wall isn't the answer at all.

We have to kill the enemy, that's the only possible thing to make our survival possible.

I was speaking about Israel WRT the wall. I don't hold out much hope for the USA. We're rotting from the inside, yet, content with our bread and circuses. The Fall of Rome looks like it's poised to repeat itself, American Style.

The US has not learned from 9/11 in my opinion. Domestically, we are still very vulnerable and many people still live in a fantasy land that we are guarded by two oceans and what happens in Israel cannot happen here.

Israel has a defence mininster who has the resolve to do whats neccessary..ie..engage the palies and route them in their own environs.
But thats not likely to happen in socialist/liberal Israel.

I can remember the rally in Jerusalem just after 9-11...100,000 Israeli's chanting.."Ariel Sharon..let the IDF Win!".
Where did that momentum go?

The Palie resolve is evident..but what of confused Israel?

Lately..and the polls on Sharon reveal...they want more talk..they think Sharon is to hard on the Palies.

They seem to just want to talk and talk..and dream socalist utopian stuff.
Might aswell just finish the wall...start a new one for Jerusalem.
Buses will still explode in fire...the populace will mourn.
But it will be..**some other Israeli dying ...not me..for the regulars.

Israeli's need to do some soul searching.

Beginning with an honest admission of national apathay.

Funny how the Quran says Allah bestowed Israel upon the Jews, and if they flee they will be forever shamed. {Sura 5:20-23}

These two [Marzel and Federman] have quite the history with Israels legal machinery.

A spokesman for Kach said that, “At a time when Sharon talks about the expulsion of Jews from their homes, we continue and grow stronger. Sharon, Mofaz, and Olmert can talk to the media, but we will do the talking on the ground.” (Jerusalem Post & Ha’aretz, 1/2/04)

Kahane and Kach see Beilin and Knesset Member Yossi Sarid, along with Sharon, Shaul Mofaz, and Ehud Olmert, to be the Hellenists threatening the integrity of the Land of Israel.

Tragic for Israel..the only Maccabee concerns will be following Maccabee Haifa and Maccabee Tel Aviv in soccer.

Let's face it, with the Arab nations that support the palestinians occupying Israeli soil, why don't THEY offer some of their land?!

Why?

The answer is simple. The Arab nations despise the Palestinians -- almost as much as they despise the Jews. They are using them as "useful idiots". If the Palestinians were to ever succeed in getting rid of Israel (fat chance), the Arab nations would in turn eradicate the Palestinians in a heartbeat.

Even so, there is a certain absurd humor to the spectacle of the wealthy Arab nations, crying like babies over Israel, which gives its Arab citizens the right to vote and sit in the Knesset, while they themselves -- the Arab nations -- won't even allow a Jew into their country.

The same bastards cry foul about the US, accusing us of being rude to them, by arresting some of the fifth columnists and terrorists they've put here. They accuse us of bigotry!

Imagine that. If an American Christian visits one of their countries, he cannot own a house, or land; he cannot practice his religion, even in his apartment; he cannot even enter some of those countries if his passport is stamped showing that he's been in Israel.

And, these same offended Arabs, who accuse Israel and the US of discrimination, because Israel will not allow unrestricted Arab immigration -- these paragons of Islamic virtue expelled the Jews from their countries a half-century ago, and will not let them return to their homes.

In summation, the Arab nations are like spoiled brat children. They demand everything, they concede nothing, they insist that the world kiss their ass, but they refused to allow anyone else the least bit of human dignity.

They demand full equality everywhere in every other country, yet, they are the most bigoted, discriminatory, hypocrital creatures on earth in their own countries.

And this is something we're supposed to respect?

Clearly, the diplomatic corps has become the last refuge of the worlds' surplus of unemployed comedians.

These fools would be laughable if not for one thing: they are dangerous. But laugh or not, one thing is certain: they simply cannot be permitted to come into the possession of nuclear weapons.

Sane nations, like the USA and the former USSR (who for all their bellicosity, were at least sane enough to not want to end the world), built nuclear weapons for one purpose -- deterrence.

In other words, the civilized nations of this world built these weapons so that they wouldn't have to use them.

Each sane, civilized nation hoped upon hope that it would never use its nuclear weapons.

However, this is not the case with this crazed throwback to the Dark Ages. It is chafing at the bit to get control over nuclear weapons -- but not for the reasons the civilized nations wanted them.

These madmen desperately want to get their hands on nuclear weapons for a different reason.

They want to get them, so that they can use them.

And if they get them, they will use them.

The world is poised on a precipice. I do not know if we have the foresight, or the courage to deal with things before it's too late. I hope we do, but I fear that we don't.

So, there's your answer to why the Arab nations don't offer the Palestinians some of their land. And I threw in a bonus answer for free. Ah, digression. I need sleep! :)

Does new technology ultimately make us more or less vulnerable?

A friend of mine, Yale economist Martin Shubik, says an important way to think about the world is to draw a curve of the number of people 10 determined men can kill before they are put down themselves, and how that has varied over time. His claim is that it wasn't very many for a long time, and now it's going up. In that sense, it's not just the US. All the world is getting less safe.

Seems to me Ariel Sharon and Mossad desperately wanted TANNENBAUM back to interrogate him, find out the full extent of his treachery. Traitorous activities.

But why do they think he was in traitorous activities? Do they think that he was not really kidnapped by Hezbollah?

Do not expect consistency from Islamics when their Koran is wildly contradictory, not even chronologically ordered. New and Old Testament contradictions are not comparable to the mess known as the Koran

Without drawing any conclusions as to whether Tannenbaum was a traitor, the two possibilities are not mutually exclusive - a deal could have gone sour, or Hizb'allah may have double-crossed him. I'm still chewing on those links Nix gave - so far I'm just as puzzled, but somewhat better informed. (No slur on you, Nix; it's a complicated situation.)
