I've actually avoided this issue, I just sat around the sidelines and laughed.

There were no "gay" marriages in San Francisco...not a single one.

There were some gay people playing at getting married, and at the end, they received a completely worthless piece of paper.

Well, maybe not worthless...they may get a few bucks for one in Ebay a few years from now.

At this point in time it is worthless, but if this had been left to go on without opposition the next step would be breaking another existing law and someone would have registered them with the state. Etc, etc.

One step at a time.
