Bob Schieffer: Edwards' Rise Means Hillary Draft
CBS "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer warned Friday that if Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry can't decisively defeat Sen. John Edwards in the remaining primaries, Democrats will likely turn to New York Sen. Hillary Clinton to be their party's standard-bearer in July.
"I'll say this - you heard it here first," Schieffer told radio host Don Imus. "Just mark my words. If it gets to this convention and it's not settled, I think Hillary Clinton is back in the ball game."
"If it gets that far, you'll hear a Draft Hillary movement," the CBS newsman flatly predicted.
Schieffer said that if Edwards does well in New York's primary two weeks from now and stays competitive in the California and Georgia races, "he's going to pick up a whole lot of delegates."
"We're getting pretty deep into this thing and if it still hasn't clarified itself and sorted itself out," the longtime reporter said, "then you're talking about going all the way to the convention to settle it."

We need to start trashing Edwards. Start finding the scoop and post it here.
This was my concern. Hillary brings in the blue states and Edwards brings in the South.
However, two scum lawyers is twice as bad as one scum lawyer.

except edwards isn't going to deliver much, if any of the south. He couldn't get re-elected, and couldn't even win the primary in TN or VA. Plus, Hillary will cost them any chance at Ohio and other swing states.

I am rooting for Kerry, although Hillary would be a disaster too. Edwards is the only candidate with a real shot, IMHO.

I hope they bring her on his year....
The only way to get her Heinous outta here and back to the trailer park is to let her into the big game.. and give her the political butt-whupping of her life....
Hitlery is a cartoon... she cant think on her feet, has to be scripted into a controlled environment....just to get thru an average day.
She remains a fixed illusion -- or a nightmare (your choice). The sooner dealt with the better.... IMHO

This is the reason why McAwful changed the DNC nominating rules this year to proportional assignment of delegates in each state instead of the traditional winner-takes-all approach.

Edwards doesn't have the gravitas, but Hillary could more than make up for it with her gravy-ass.

Ted Kennedy was the great Liberal boogey-man until he actually ran for President and even a weak sister like Jimmy Carter promised to, and actually did, "whip his ass".
I'm tired of Hillary.
Let her get nominated in 2004. Let her lose big. Let her be confined to the dustbin of political history.

Hillary confined to the dustbin of political history is music to my ears.
Let it be...let it be...
