This is not good for Kerry. George has always like Edwards and if the Clinton's order the "hit" he can make sure Edwards wins the debate.

DOMA - Defense of Marriage Act. Something Edwards (a lawyer) completely misrepresented and misunderstood in a debate a few weeks ago.

Given that the American electorate voted for Clinton....twice...I would never say never.
It doesn't get pointed out much that if Ross Perot, or Pat Buchanan weren't splitting up the "Freeper Element" of the R party The Arkansas Love Machine would be nothing more than a sad footnote to history along the lines of George McGovern.
With both of these guys out of the picture and the possibility of Nader getting on ballots, that's a darn good sign for G. Dub.
I just want this to be a yawner.

Agreed....on all points.

Every answer the two candidates make to questions as how they would solve specific problems will be prefaced by: "Under the unelected Bush Administration....".

This is the introduction of the Kerry-Edwards ticket. Not a debate at all unless Kerry is somehow feeling threatened.
The W vs Edwards race, if it somehow came to that, would hinge on inexperience vs experience. Edwards would have to release his donor list. Oh, wait....he would have to obtain a donor list other than the trial lawyer lobby groups. He isn't defined because he isn't a threat, yet. Once he is, he can be praised w/faint damns and he is over. "Such a nice boy. Maybe someday in the future he'll be presidential material". Also, he hasn't played the game correctly and tried to jump the line after one measly term as Senator. Everyone knows he couldn't be reelected and as Kerry has said, no one is sure he could carry NC. The party will not support him, this time around. They may promise him another chance in 08. It may cost him some big donations to various 527s, though.

Freepers have been saying for years, Watch out for Edwards, he's the next clinton. Then this past year he has stayed in the single digits. I still think Edwards is more electable than Kerry, and therefore more dangerous, even though he hasn't yet managed to break through to the voters. Probably hillary instructed the media to keep a lid on him.
Wouldn't it be funny if Stephanopolous announced that he's running too?

BUT this Edwards kid, he scares me a little bit. We all did a splendid job knocking down Dean...Please, let's not repeat the mistake by building up Edwards.
Edwards is an unknown; we means we, too, get a clear shot at defining who he is and just what, if anything, we can trust Edwards with.
In a post 9-11 world being an empty suit is not a solid start for a run for the most powerful position on this planet.

Are you serious .. Edwards beat GW? .. NO WAY!!
NO EXPERIENCE! Plain and simple. He might act nicer than Kerry, but that doesn't make him any smarter.
