This is not good for Kerry. George has always like Edwards and if the Clinton's order the "hit" he can make sure Edwards wins the debate.

Update:
Kerry and Edwards go Head to Head on ABC News
Fri Feb 20 2004 15:26:35 ET
Senator John Kerry (D-MA) and Senator John Edwards (D-NC) will go head to head on This Week with George Stephanopoulos to air this Sunday, February 22, 2004 on the ABC Television Network (check local listings).
In what will likely be the first and only head to head match-up before Super Tuesday on March 2, the exclusive on-the-trail interviews with Senator Edwards and Senator Kerry will focus on the candidates positions on five major policy issues and how they differ from their opponents.
No politics, no process no gotcha, said George Stephanopoulos. We want to focus the candidates and the voters on the big differences over the big issues.
The five issues are jobs, trade and the economy, health care, Iraq, and terrorism.

Georgy might actually get some ratings. I wonder if George Will gets to ask any questions.

They want to focus on the big differences? Should be able to wrap that up in one segement. After that, they can compare thumbprints, argue over best haircare products, and discuss their next "debate" date.....

Actually, this isn't good for us. Edwards just might be able to beat G Dub. No way a loopy lefty like Kerry could.

Not good for Ketchup Boy? We'll see. Depending on what Georgy does, I think we'll at least be able to get a pretty good idea of what the Toons want.

I agree. I don't want to see Edwards mkke progress.

I'm not too worried about the prettyboy lawyer from the south who doesn't even know what the DOMA is.

boy ABC will go to anything to get me to watch their show, But NO, I will not stoop to such boring stuff and rather watch the bowling channel.

I hope your folks don't plan on helping Stephie's ratings by actually watching this crap. All this will be is two lawyers trying to bull$hit the populace to a nomination.

Edwards is about to slip into full ass-kissing mode, buttering up Kerry and making goo-goo eyes for the Veep spot.

This is in place of a debate? Hardly! Stephie's questions will be as long as Kerry's answers, and Edwards will spend his time, snake charming the camera.
Edwards may have blinked. Accepting this little tea party will give Kerry the excuse to avoid a real man to man debate with questions coming from real journalists.

I hope you're right! However, look at what you just wrote: Pretty boy, lawyer, DOMA fumble. We don't really have a lot on him. Kerry? Oh, the closet is literally BURSTING with skeletons (and that's BEFORE Theresa burrows her way out of the basement!)
This Edwards kid, he's got charisma, he speaks well, he probably doesn't have a long history of bizarre votes to point out, he's stayed out of the fray, and momentum is turning to him.
Look, I'd like to see G Dub win all 50 states and by a double digit margin. In fact, that's what I think will happen. BUT this Edwards kid, he scares me a little bit.

Given that the American electorate voted for Clinton....twice...I would never say never. However, Edwards could only win on his looks and southern drawl. There's just no there there....
