Lake Trillium, Mt Hood National Forest

Beautiful country! Thanks for bringing these photos of your Oregon to us. I think I just might plan a summer vacation up there one of these years. :-)

Always take the scenic route...

Couldn't be a more perfect calendar page for today. Looks to me like just about any route in Oregon is scenic.

Happy FRiday, FRee!

Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round waterfall in the nation. The water of the Falls drops 620 feet from its origin on Larch Mountain. Unusually cold weather can turns this plummeting falls into a frozen icesicle, with a few drops falling from the bottom. The frozen Falls are a sight to behold.

My parents got in last night from Washington state which is in that neck of the woods. It's the second trip they've made in recent months and are raving about it more than the last time. They ventured out of WA but it was to go up into Vancouver since neither of them had ever been to Canada. I'd love the opportunity to go to WA or Oregon.

Good morning, AuntB, and thank for your nice compliments. Oregon was an easy state to present....everywhere I looked was beautiful country and interesting facts. I love the history of the west too.

Interesting about Eugene having the first "one" way streets...they've been going the wrong way ever since!!! My beautiful state has been taken over by brainless lefties!!

LOL!! I know exactly what you mean. I think many of them have detoured down this way too. San Francisco is the laughing stock of the country. Sheesh!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are having a lovely FRiday.

Here's what happens to people when they don't have their morning coffee break. :)

That's nothing to smile about!!! I'm going to have nightmares for weeks over that photo. :( Thanks for not posting the one from his yacht where he's letting it all hang out. Yeeeeeeeech!!! You also get points that Jr. in the background has been botoxified, otherwise we'd be in ghoul overload. LOL

They ventured out of WA but it was to go up into Vancouver since neither of them had ever been to Canada.

I hope they went to Victoria too. That is on my top ten list of favorite cities. But, on a second thought, winter is not the best time to visit. I was there in January, it's not the same city as in July. They should go back in the summer.

Victoria is probably the closest I will ever get to visiting England. Double-decker busses, tea houses, flowers EVERYWHERE. And, everyone who visits Victoria must have High Tea at the Empress Hotel.

You really grabbed this Oregonian with that headline, MamaBear!

Here's an article, A Woman of Her Times, about a woman pilot, written by an Oregonian woman pilot, in the Oregon Magazine! LOL!

This thread is such a treat! Thanks!

Afternoon, dixie!

Most excellent trip through Oregan! I would love to see Crater Lake!

So would I. It was a shame that we were never been able to take any side trips when we were traveling through Oregon on our way to visit our son who was stationed in Washington. But what we saw driving though was beautiful country.
