That would explain why so many leftist flocked to him in knee-jerk fashion. Crazy is an asset of the left, as is abnormal, neurotic, phychotic, narcotic and any number of other conditions which prevent them from melding with the bulk of society.
Those poor suckers really believe they are respected by their political idols, when, in fact, they are only tolerated because there aren't sufficient votes without them.
