What is a Troll???? I was taught as a young child that a troll is a hideous creature that live under a bridge that wants to harm children.

Apparently, there are a few subscribers to Free Republic that consider themselves the Troll Patrol.

Some authors of Posts to the Free Republic website are accused of being "Trolls". These people, whom call themselves the Troll Patrol, are trying to intimidate Americans who are wanting to express their thoughts and concerns to keep their thoughts to themsleves. This is an attempt to enforce censorship or pressure someone not to express themselves.

I would like to say to the Troll Patrol that this in not the old USSR or Nazi Germany in the 40's. This is the United States of America and we do have freedom of speech in this country.

If you want to find trolls, I suggest that you visit Sherwood Forrest there are probaly a few lurking around.

God Bless the United States and Protect Us From the Troll Patrol.

The guy they are referring to is a friend of mine. He told me that I might get banned for speaking on his behalf. He is not a Troll just a newbie.

Omnix is a friend of mine, who informed me today at work what happened last night on this website. A few months ago he told me that if I really wanted to get some insight into America for me to visit this website. He was a little P'Od about getting banned from FR but he understands that he violated the rules.

Only the truth. Omnix is a friend of mine at work. I registered for this site today because he thought he had be sidewalled. He is a good guy but he also does realize that he should listen before he speaks.

I didn't know if you had some sort of honorary Princess Troll deal worked out as a sideline LOL. I always think of you as RWP and wondered where the PT came from; not knowing, couldn't answer for it.

I was just thinking about Elian two days ago ... wondering what has become / will become of his tragic life. And how when we all stand before the great Judge and give an account of our life, x42 is not going to like what the big guy has to say about it.

I was also thinking, What is the difference between the Salem witch trials of 1692, and Waco? I can't find anything to justify or distinguish either one from the other.

I'll tell you what drives me. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I always keep that in mind when I'm composing a reply or retort. (And I can get pretty saucy, just not mean.) Since I don't enjoy being called names, etc., and since JimRob lists that as a way to get the boot, I stay away from that stuff, even when I'm strenuously disagreeing with another FReeper.

If I'm feeling lousy, I compose my reply (leaving the "TO" window blank so if I accidentally hit POST, I'll get that message that I have to fill in the "TO" line), and go read another thread.

If, upon clear-headed reflection, I believe it's okay to post, I do so. I've deleted a lot of my own posts before they get sent to the forum.

I didn't use to be so temperate. Live and learn.
