My theory is many of these dog fighting cretins lacked a family structure. Much dog figting occurs among gang members, who notoriously come from broken homes and seek a surrogate family in the gang.

I blame the upbringing of these monsters. It almost always points to the parenting...or lack of.

Many time siblings from the same family turn out with radically different ethical orientations, so I'd be more inclinded to place the blame on the individuals themselves.

Yes, and when you look at their numbers you can't help but notice that there would have to be so much of this going on that the huge crowds attending these dog fights would be noticeable to all.

If dog fighting is as common as they claim, why aren't we seeing any of this on the news?

I would say that she's over a year old. If a dog loses control of it's bladder while it's cowering, then I took that to mean that she had been abused in the past. Once she realized that I meant no harm and that I came bearing goodies, then she stopped that behavior. I'm a cat person, never had a dog, but this dog is just a doll. I sneak her food every day and when she sees me come out the back door she is beside herself with absolute happiness. LOL !!

American's that partake in these types of sport are generally border line psychos and wackjobs.

And so are any non-Americans that partake of these types of "sports".
