Some moderators use their power to censor FreeRepublic.com.
The other day I had a post that was moved to general on the whim of the current moderator, that is censorship.
After waiting a few hours, I reposted the exact same post and got a very favorable response and over 150 replies.....
some people can't handle power without abuse.

He certainly seems to be the best of the bunch. He doesn't make me physically ill like the rest of them.

Chris Matthews ought to just put a full page ad in the NYT asking for some Democrat willing to go on his show and shout from the rafters that the President lied to us, to them, to everyone; that we were mislead and betrayed...YES BETRAYED BY HIM!!!.

EDWRADS: And as you know, I serve on the Senate Intelligence Committee. So it wasnt just the Bush administration. I sat in meeting after meeting after meeting where we were told about the presence of weapons of mass destruction. There is clearly a disconnect between what we were told and what, in fact, we found there.
Now this I can respect. Unfortunately the dems are going to nominateKerry and our Al Quida enemy in Iraq will cheerfully supply him with as many body bags as he needs to pursue the democrat's anti-war campaign.

When asked about Gov Schwarzenegger's potential to be a good gov, Edwards replied that he had serious doubts because:
Well, I mean, he-First of all, he has no experience governing....

Hey, if you don't like the rules, leave.
Moving a biography of Lenin from Fiction to History is not censorship, it's smart. Burning said book would be censorship.

What is interesting is that any democratic ticket that includes Edwards would pretty much have to forget about the "Bush lied" approach.

Perhaps if you occasionally posted an actual article, instead of Star Commander updates, your threads might not be "censored" quite as much. :-D

I just got this email sent to me & think it's worth posting here for others to cut, paste & send. Spead the truth!
The following appeared in the Durham, NC local paper as a letter to the editor. Liberals claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war. They complain about his prosecution of it. One liberal recently claimed Bush was the worst president in U.S. history.
Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by terrorists BEFORE 9/11. Let's look at the "worst" president and mismanagement claims.
FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.
John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300 a year. Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.
Worst president in history? Come on!
Pass this on and spread the truth!

I have no complaints actually....FreeRepublic.com and my fellow freepers have been very fair and supportive of my posts.....and usually agree with the conclusions, far more often than might be thought.....
The reponse for so many is why I post.
We are in this together, and as a professional person, I post here for free what othes pay for.
In my way, I support FreeRepublic.....
Not all that glitters is gold.

"The United States has had a long history of nonintervention..."...until terrorists, with help from Saddam, flew their hijacked planes into the Twin Towers, declaring war against America - why do people like Matthews, Katie, etc. always leave out the TT's, almost as if it never happened.
As for France, Germany and Russia, they were busy with the "Oil For Food Program" and stood to loose millions if not billions, only Kofi knows for sure.......Those three countries were caught with their hands in the Iraq cookie jar! Dont ever forget that Kofi was running that little scam.
