AUGUSTA The Maine House of Representatives on Wednesday killed a proposal that would require the Legislature's Judiciary Committee to develop a constitutional amendment defining marriage as being between a man and a woman.
The sponsor of the joint order, Republican Rep. Brian Duprey of Hampden, warned against the possibility of "any activist judge trying to legislate from the bench" and suggested that an existing Maine statute that speaks to the issue of marriage should be bolstered.
The House, voting 73-63, declined to go along, eliminating the need for Senate action.
The House chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Democratic Rep. William Norbert of Portland, argued against the joint order, saying the panel already was "plenty busy these days."
The state's Defense of Marriage Act defines marriage as a union between a man and woman and forbids the recognition of same-sex marriages performed in other states.

oh. Who was the poster?improvculturekill
Notice the screen name ends with "kill." That's why they kept them in the mental institutions. They were considered a danger to society.
(Gee, the "homophobes" were right!)

The GOOD NEWS reply about California rejecting the homo glue because of faulty forms was mine. They have to start their lawlessness all over again! LOL! The law found a "PC" way to stop them.

CHICAGO Mayor ----
Mayor Daley said Wednesday he would have "no problem" with County Clerk David Orr issuing marriage licenses to gay couples -- and Orr said he's open to a San Francisco-style protest if a consensus can be built.
The left is declaring civil war. They've decided our laws are not good enough for them, so they'll just ignore them.
Now, about tax and gun laws. Let's discuss this lawless issue.
It could work for anyone, right?
Equal lawlessness under the law ???

We are cautiously optimistic this Legislature would not overnight make a decision to have the Judiciary Committee write discrimination into the constitution The new homosexual party line.
To: tuesday afternoon
write discrimination into the constitutionThe new homosexual party line.
Victim hood propaganda.
"Poor discriminated aganst us. We're being victimized (by peoiple who will not obey our will)."
