A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT BUSH (PHOTOS): 2.18.04
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov ^ | February 18, 2004 | GretchenEE

The President met with Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in the Oval Office of the White House to discuss regional security and diplomatic issues. (Geography refresher: Tunisia is in North Africa, borders eastern Algeria and is SW of Italy, across the Mediterranean; the CIA wrote recently, "Tunisia has taken a moderate, non-aligned stance in its foreign relations.")

Laura Bush visited students and educators at Limerick Elementary School in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles, promoting literacy. Mrs. Bush encouraged students to read more than they watch television.

And on a "know your opponents" note: the democrats continue to run in Circles of Confusion, today's version of Dante's Divine Comedy: The Inferno.

Enjoy your Dose of W, and welcome to Sanity Island!

Ask the White House: "NASCAR's Michael Waltrip answered your questions about NASCAR and the Daytona 500"

The reason I posted what I did is that I see their effort to censure Bush as being part of their right to freedom of speech.

Like you, I don't like the way they talk, however strongly I agree with their right to say it.

She is such a LADY. We're lucky to have her. May we continue to have her for another 4 years.

From "Person of the Week, Laura Bush"
February 18, 2004
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/US/laura_bush_campaigning_040218-2.html

"At the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif. — her second fund-raiser on the trip — the first lady took in $170,000 for the campaign.

She is an extraordinarily successful fund-raiser, collecting more than $5 million so far. Some campaign officials call her "the secret weapon."

Laura Bush's strengths, said one Democratic pollster who has asked voters about her, are her steadiness and warmth.

"They like her because they think she's dignified and ladylike," said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake. "They like her because she reinforces his message on education. They like her because she seems so down to earth. They also like her, particularly women, because they think she counters a little bit of his macho, shoot-from-the-hip style."

In a close race, the first lady's broad appeal and political toughness could be crucial assets for her husband's re-election bid. [hahahaha "could" hahahaha]

Dementia is just a dying of the brain cells....Alzheimer's, (hardening of the arteries) are all forms....It sort of depends on what area of the brain is dying....Mother lost her ability to walk, then talk....Minny strokes....not getting enough oxygen? We never knew why? She died bit by bit over a long period of time....Long grief....still miss her. She was always as sweet as ever and never got difficult like many alzheimer patients. A real angel!

Check the internet....there are several good articles.

Because "he" owns multiple houses.

The one in Georgetown is for when the Senate is in session.

Then there's the 12 Million Dollar "townhome" in Boston that he borrowed 6 million on his half. Yeah, right.

And then there's the home in Nantucket.

Who knows what other abodes Ter-aaaa-za owns?

Ketchup boy has never eaten hamburger helper in his life.

His and Edward's "two classes of people, the rich and then the rest of US" is ludicrous, the implication being that Edwards and Kerry are in the US. They most decidely are not. They are in the wealthy 1 per cent who complain about the tax cuts for the rich. But bank it nevertheless, I've noticed.

Typical class warfare lines from both of them. Idiots.

Truth, I'm always amazed at how well-connected Freepers are! Tell Mr. Aikman what an inspiration his book JESUS IN BEIJING is. There are three people in our Bible study currently reading the book. We are encouraged to hear what is happening in China, and about the Chinese Christians' unified vision of evangelizing the Muslim world, all the way to Jerusalem. It's given my wife and I a burden to pray for the realization of that vision.

WE had to go to an air raid shelter in the basement of the school. We had little bags of small games to take with us, to keep down the boredom. I remember when I moved from elementary school to middle school, I dropped that dang bag down a drain. All it ever reminded me was of stark, raving terror mixed with total boredom. Not a good combination.
