The President met with Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in the Oval Office of the White House to discuss regional security and diplomatic issues. (Geography refresher: Tunisia is in North Africa, borders eastern Algeria and is SW of Italy, across the Mediterranean; the CIA wrote recently, "Tunisia has taken a moderate, non-aligned stance in its foreign relations.")
Laura Bush visited students and educators at Limerick Elementary School in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles, promoting literacy. Mrs. Bush encouraged students to read more than they watch television.
And on a "know your opponents" note: the democrats continue to run in Circles of Confusion, today's version of Dante's Divine Comedy: The Inferno.
Enjoy your Dose of W, and welcome to Sanity Island!

BTW do believe the house Kerry took the $6 Million mortgage out on is in HER name......Some question whether that is legal or not? Personal funds and all.

Am I the only one who remembers that home defense was very important during the VietNam war? Just past the time of air raid shelter practices we used to have as kids for the big bomb, NORAD was very important in maintaining our safety here at home.
Lt. Bush of the ANG flew on those defense flights. He kept the homeland safe.
Just because he didn't get sent to VN doesn't mean he didn't make a huge contribution to homeland defense.

I ready BB's first book, and cried when I read the poem #41 wrote about Robin, the daughter that died.
It was heart-rending.

I remember! Made that same point to someone the other day....Do you remember crawling under your school desk?.....(Like a lot of good a little desk would do if they dropped a "big bomb"!)

There are so many sites to choose from for pet meds. And accessories.
Do a google search for what you want, and compare prices.
Seems like someone is always have a sale!

Cool--Laura Bush is also ABC's Person of the Week!
So the interview ran on the news today, but there were audio difficulties and it will be run again tomorrow . . . meaning it will be seen TWICE (even if not all was heard tonight) . . . is it . . . .
coincidence or,
Divine intervention?

**Seriously, why is she grimacing when her husband is kissing her?? What's up with that?? **
My guess is that it's a *professional* marriage, not unlike the Clintoons. I don't understand that lifestyle. Why bother, ya know?

I used to have a brother-in-law who was (still is) unsaved and who would try all sorts of
sneaky to hook and draw me into a ridiculous theological debate that would always end in a mockery of Christianity. I finally said to him, "If you ever want to have a serious discussion about what the Bible teaches, and who Jesus is, let me know and I will be delighted to talk with you. But until then, I am not willing to go into details." With folks like that, you have to get so direct that it can seem rude at times. He, of course, tested me on it and I left him standing on my front porch the next time he tried it, saying, "I'm going to go make a cup of tea. If you are still here when I return and still want to have a noncombative conversation, then you'll be welcome to come in."
He never did that to me again.
I still pray for him, though.
Some liberals are like that with politics. If they want to have a truly meaningful discussion of issues, you'll know it. If they just want to bash you over the head with their candidate, well, what's the point?

The contrasts are endless, aren't they? George and Laura Bush have hearts, know how to extend compassion, gratitude, delight and comfort. Awesome example for all of us. :o)
To: coloradomom
Isn't it disgusting how they put political gamesmanship above national security? I contend that that is toward the top of the list for reasons why 9/11 happened.

That's illegal. She can't in anyway give him more than $2000.00 That is the same as giving him 6million.
