He openly favors abortion and gay rights. He's not about to offend the gay constituency.

As chief executive of the State, and a supposed law-and-order Republican, Schwarzenegger should be for enforcing laws and punishing law-breakers, regardless of the issue.

Who does this mayor think he is anyway?

The darling of the Leftists and "mainstream" media, of course.

What's even more disturbing about this whole situation is that if Gavin Newsom had insisted that the Ten Commandments should be put in a courthouse, he'd be drummed out in a heartbeat as a lawless pariah.

I fear for the future of our nation.

When your enemy is in the process of self-destructing, you should leave him alone.

This mayor's stunt plus the upcoming Massachusetts gay marriages in May will help Bush get re-elected.

Furthermore, I suspect that gays won't be able to help themselves, and they might have a massive gay weddding (like the Moonies do) to coincide with the Democratic Convention in Boston.

Mark my words. The Loony Left is our friend (remember Dean?) These punks can alienate the middle-of-the-road voters very quickly.

I would like conservatives to push for a Republican supermajority in the US Senate (63+ seats), and I'd like to see 3 or 4 Jesse Helms to be elected this fall.

The office of that Mayor would be surounded in 6 minutes by the National Guard, FBI, CIA, local, state and federal SWAT Teams, and six thousand environmental-wackos-PETA members driving 1983 Subarus.

"Well so far, Arnold has been full of surprises. It probably wouldn't help him out if he had Newsom arrested, but the drama would be priceless."

Agreed. While the Left would scream, I think Arnie would make beaucoup points with the majority, if for no other reason than smacking San Francisco in the mouth.

Who know? It would probably put a chill on others who had the same "laws be damned" notions.

Hey, SF didn't vote for him anyway!

Arnold has been taking a stand on this issue, with or without arresting Gavin Newsom...

I, too, do not believe this mayor or anyone else involved with this blatant and obvious violation of the law will ever see the inside of a jail cell, or be forced to pay a fine. These people, will instead, be haled as heroes. I repeat myself again, the judicial system in this country no longer cares for the Constitution and its infinite wisdom, but instead looks to force and coerce this country in to accepting its liberal agenda fueled by special interest groups.

would love to see a mayor in another California city, even a small city, start issuing Concealed Carry Weapons permits to anyone applying... Then we would see everyone, especially the liberal media, calling for tat mayor's arrest.

One of those mayors ought to declare the tobacco smoking ban illegal as well!

Smokers in California ought to take advantage of the precedent the homos are setting.

SO liberals want anarchy? Show it to them!

Homosexual Agenda Ping - Arnold says something, and there's a link to his comments as well.

If anyone wants on or off this ping list, let me know and your wish shall be done.

The Clown/Fool/Thug "Mayor" Noisome of SF should be recalled. Or worse.

What if the Governator announced that the marriages will not be recognized in Sacramento? Will they? Given the way the judges decided, this anarachy could continue for months.

The power of rationalization drives the culture war, gives it its particular revolutionary character, and makes its advocates indefatigable. The Culture of Vice (Oldie but goodie).

Sacramento already announced that they will not accept the gay marriage certificates. All state certificates must contain the exact wording from Sacramento, and not the first applicant, second applicant garbage.

They can get married all they want, it's not legal and it's ticking off America.
