Obviously a lot of Wisconsin voters believe Kerry DID have an affair. I'd bet Kerry's internal polling was telling him that and that explains those statements from Ms. Polier and her parents on Monday.
What is Edwards up to? If he can't even win his own state in November, Kerry won't put him on the ticket as VP. He doesn't seem to have any chance of actually winning the nomination. Why is he hanging in?

What else could he do? He's not running for reelection to the Senate and he has a lot of money to spend. He may well be positioning himself to run again in '08.

Nah, I thjink the fact that it was a close race was due to the fact that Kerry hardly even campaigned in Wisconsin, as well as the fact that anyone is allowed to vote in the primaries. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of pubbies walked in and voted for Edwards, just to help stir the pot. Another thought: Edwards was splitting votes with Clark, and may have gained some from that.

Somebody has to be there when/ if Kerry craters. Other thing is that this campaign gives Edwards face time/ national exposure for the next campaign.
