why would she risk getting into the 2004 race via some "extraordinary" means to run against an incumbent, when she has a clear shot at the 2008 run?

For 2008, that Hillary/Richardson ticket will be strong: the appeal to independent women, Hispanics. Don't underestimate it.

Do most people even think of him as hispanic? I wonder if he changed his name to Richardson from something else.

There were rumors floating around last week that Dean was thinking about going Green. Haven't heard any more on that.

I look upon this as bad news. The Dems can keep this sham primary race going giving them more publicity and visibility. The race is over. Kerry is the nominee. Let the country go back to sleep until the nominating convention. Now the talking heads will talk endlessly about the exciting race between Kerry and Edwards. Gimme a break.

Edwards can't be the dem nominee. It's already been stated by McAuliffe, Kerry and the media that only Vietnam vets are qualified for the Presidency.

What is Edwards background. He looks like a kid but I know he's 50 something and was of age to go to Vietnam.

The dems made the rules. If you didn't carry an M-16 you are not allowed to be Commander in Chief

I had to be very careful not to pick up the Southern accent. They are very easy to fall into. But you are right, it was my Yankee accent that tipped off people in stores, etc. as to where I came from. The Southerners never treated me badly or rudely. They just were super-polite as if I were something strange and foreign.

4 conservatives in our house all voted for Dean. I guess we're going to fall a little short. Oh well, it's still fun to mess with Dems.

How about a Hillary/Ford ticket in 2008? Cover almost all the bases. White males make up only 22% of the Dem base.

I think I’ll stick with Dean because my wife already voted for him and I don’t want to cancel out her vote. As far as the nose holding and filthy hands, I’ve voted straight Republican ticket since 1972 and this will be my first experience voting for a rat. I’ll be praying for God’s forgiveness.

She would have to run for reelection in NY - Guliani (sp) is supposed to be her challenger there he would win. She has no stellar reputation or legislation to point to, other than being co-crook in chief during their white House years.

A brokered convention with her as savior of the Dem Party means she will not have to answer a question, debate an issue or stand on a stage with DEM opponents. This keeps his mythical 'legacy' alive. Who could fault a Clinton for taking the easy, slithering way in?

Kerry's remarks about Daytona being a ''photo-op'' (and then the other snide remarks about Nascar by some of the talking heads) sure didn't help him in Wisconsin--lots & lots of Wisconsin Nascar fans.

Yup, as I remarked yesterday, not too smart for a guy trying to get votes. It seems Kerry is attacking President Bush daily. I look for Dumb@$$ Kerry to put his foot in his mouth many times between now and November.

Hmmm. Intriguing. Most provocative.

Looks like Wisconsin tonight, after this, the Ketchup Boy may have to commit ritual "Hara Kerry".

I think Bart Starr, Jimmy Taylor, Bret Farve, Herb Adderly put an end to any anti-Soutern bias in Wisconsin.

Edwards would be the easiest of all. Knocking him off would be child's play for an experienced campaign manager.

Thanks for the great news. I wouldn't be surprised to see a certain Mr. G. Bush of Crawford, TX listed among Nader's contributors!
