From the dimocRAT party of VA website:

Speaking of tax fairness (I can't believe they can still say this with a straight face), Governor Warner will host an electronic town hall meeting on tax reform this Tuesday, February 17th. The meeting will take place at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast live from the WCVE public television studios in Southside Richmond. Barbara Berlin of WCVE will host the show and the Governor will take questions from viewers and a studio audience.

The televised town hall meeting will explore the governor's tax reform plan as presented to the current session of Virginia's General Assembly. Click here to read the Democratic Party of Virginia state Central Committee's resolution endorsing the Governor's plan.

The public will participate as part of the studio audience and through calls and e-mail. Be sure to tune in, because viewers at home will be able to call in questions and comments during the program using a toll-free number displayed on the television screen. This option will be available throughout the Commonwealth since every geographic area of the state will receive the program live.

Citizens may also submit questions in advance of the broadcast via the Web at HERE.

My question was: Why did you lie during the campaign, saying you would not support a tax increase...then support the 2 tax hikes for sales tax and now the $1B tax increase??

I've already explored it. He wants to raise income taxes on Northern Virginians ("the Commonwealth's wealthiest citizens").

No.

Answer: Gullible RINOs and Yellow dog RATs bought the line and even ran around yapping that socialist RAT Warner was someone "better on taxes and spending" than Earley.

And they got what they paid for. Hope the RINOs who gloated over Earley's defeat are enjoying all the new taxes and abortion freebies in VA.

Richmond ping.

I will be in a meeting tonight. Somebody call and hold his feet to the fire, please.

He doesn't seem to understand the words, "no tax increase."

My question was, "Why is that you proposed this tax increase plan AFTER the elections? Was it because you were afraid that the electorate would, once again, shoot it down?

I would be really curious to know if any of the hard questions actually get asked and....answered.

I will thinking of you, guy's! we just told our Govenor and the legislators NO<NO,NO to a 1 billion $ tax increase and this was the second one we told em NO to in a little over a year. keep up the fight. someday they may get the message that the taxpayers are tired the BS spending and they might actually do some cutting.

I heard that you were successful in fending off the tax increases. It's a hard battle here. We can only keep trying.

FOLLOWUP: I did watch the entire hour last night. They did take one of my questions, about WHY NOT LOOK AT THE WILDER COMMISSION AND 2 BILLION IN SAVINGS THEY FOUND.

Warner blew it off...saying they already took the easy savings.

They took many questions from the Audience and about 90% of the audience were teachers....looks like the VEA was the only group to attend. Their questions were all about how we can raise taxes and spend more on education.

Naturally, liberal PBS stacked the audience with the pro-tax hike crowd.....yet another example of liberal bias in public broadcasting.
