Rush has finally focused on the Kosovo problem
Andy from Beaverton | 02/17/04 | Andy from Beaverton

Finally!!! Rush has finally focused on the problems with and in Kosovo. For some of us, we have been screeming about this since April of 1999. Before you decide to jump all over me for any Rush comments, he has almost never spoke about the aftermath in Kosovo. Sure at times he has spoken poorly about the Kosovo operation, but I can't ever recall him saying that we had choosen the wrong side. The question is going to be if he actually goes more in depth or if this is going to be it???

But nevermind. Using your logic, you could say the Muslims of Srebrenica were not deported, they left because they had attacked and slaughtered Serb villagers and the Serbs were coming back and they were NOT amused. Can we say "double standard"? >>>

Different circumstances. The Serbs left the Croat enclaves voluntarily (after having ethnically cleansed the Croats who were once their neighbors). Had the Serbs stayed put they would have received NO harm. The Bosnian Muslims in the Sreb enclave (the ones not earmarked for extinction) were put on Bosnian Serb Army trucks and buses and shipped to the border at gunpoint.

All the Serbs needed to do was stay put. Nothing more.

Unless of course they were living in Croat houses.... in which case discretion, better part of valor, that sort of thing.

Even those you call "trash" have a right to be free of genocide, particularly from neighbors who think that they are trash.

Trash commit genocide.

The charges of genocide against Serbs have been massively proven to be unfounded. Another way you can tell that this charge of genocide is fiction is the fact that European crime statistics did not totally change from 1995 to 2000. If somebody WERE to institute a policy of genocide against Albanians and do a reasonably good job of it, they'd eliminate 90% of European crime.

I do not have to keep my mouth shut in the face of war criminals, as I sometimes had to while in Bosnia, and I do not have to keep silent in the face of Nazi propaganda here on Free Republic. My role today is not peace keeper, but truth teller.

Either way, Mr. Jones. Thank you for providing an excellent phrase for my tagline.

Your choice of the word "good" implies that you would agree with such actions, and furthermore would appear to give a reason for your stance on KosovA. You seem to think that ethnic cleansing of Albanians, whether historical or imagined, is a good idea. I figure it would take a couple of thousand guys like you in Slobo's military/paramilitary to do what the Serbs are accused of having done to the Bosnians and Kosovar Albanians. You, with your dreams of mass murder, are all the evidence anybody should need that the Serbs (in the strict sense of Slobo's ultranationalist regime) were capable of the despicable acts they are accused of having commited.

Also as an Albanian, and a very pissed one right about now, I would also like the opportunity of having you say this to my face.

KosovA? Can you explain me what the word KosovA means in Albanian? Or the word Pristina? or Metohia? Curious minds want to know.

KosovA is what the inhabitants of the place like to call it. If you wish to continue calling KosovO, that is your prerogative. My belief in the right of the Kosovars to self-determination leads me to call it KosovA.
Either way the point may be mute, since there is a reasonable chance the name may be changed by referendum to Dardania sometime in the not too distant future.

Either way the point may be mute,

I guess the point will be "mute" soon, especially when the the remaining Serbs, Gypsies will be killed/chased away and traces of Christian past of Kosovo and Metohia will be erased. Then the origin of the names like KosovA and MetohiO will be gone, same way as the name of "Istambul" (Either from Greek "Eis ten Polis" or a Turkish contraction of Constantinoupolis)

The turning of American opinion to support of the Bosnians and Albanians against the Serbs was aided and abetted by two factors:

1
The Saudis paid for a highly organized and immensely successful PR Campaign, conducted by Ruder and Finn for the Bosnians, and their traditional hitmen and goon squads, the Albanians. It played directly into liberal and anti-Christian bias in the media. When I said "paid" I am talking about a budget of perhaps $50 Million ... or more!
Ruder and Finn succeeded in making the cause of Muslim terrorism and ethnic cleansing in the Balkans politically correct! (This was no small achievement, as even the NYT had been pointing out the depredations of the Albanians in Kosovo for years! When one saw NYT articles taking the Serbs of Kosovo to task for essentially defending themselves, their church, and their property against the KLA, one had to know the R&F campaign was a total success ... and they are still on retainer!)

2
The Serbs, especially in Bosnia, fought a dirty war against the Muslims by using the dirty methods of the Muslims. I can easily explain it. I could never defend it.

The Muslims in the Balkans are absolute devils. Unfortunately that doesn't mean the Serbs are angels.

They're the closest thing to it which is possible in the region. I mean, basically, they're normal people; albanians aren't. There were about 30 ethnic groups in Yugoslavia of which maybe three ever had a problem dealing with Serbs. Everybody in Europe hates albanians.

I've seen 4000 people who would disagree, but they had holes in the back of their heads from Serb pistols and were too busy rotting to care

How horrible! What grain were the holes from? How far away were the flash suppresors from the head?

I am reeling in pain from this horrendous crime. Stop writing about these terrible monstrous acts!

Mr P,

I have a copy of Mr Izetbegovitch's book, do you?
It is a 1990 copy I picked up while in Europe back in the early 90s.

Next, Ma Bell will entertain us with an endless string of Holocaust jokes, starting with the one about the Volkswagen.

Be silent. Be still.

Albanians are claiming more rights due to high birth rates.>>

The fact that the Serbs (and the rest of Europe) are exterminating themselves in abortion clinic is not Albania's fault.

Have babies. If you refuse to, don't complain when others do.

Mr Jones, please enlighten us with evidence. I recall that you have pictures, but yet you fail to upload them to a site for all to view this terrible terrible deed!
