Arab-Americans raise money for Bush re-election campaign
Wealthy Arab-American supporters of the US invasion of Iraq are financially backing US President Bushs re-election campaign.
Elite members Arab and Muslim communities are raising $100,000 or more for the Republican leader at a time when polls suggest that Bushs support from these communities in plummeting, said New York Times.
The newspaper named Iranian-born resident of Florida Mori Hosseini as on of Bushs top fundraisers. The chief executive of ICI Homes has raised $200,000 for the Bush campaign, saying he was inspired by the Presidents decisive action in Iraq. "He's the savior, if not of Iraq, but also of the other countries around Iraq. They want freedom. I am so sure of this because I am from that part of the world," explained Hosseini.
Muslim supporters like Hosseini show a trend contradictory to what some polls reveal as a drop in Bush's popularity among Arab and Muslim Americans. According to a January poll conducted by Zogby International, Bush's approval rating among Arab-Americans had fallen to 38 percent from as high as 83 percent in October 2001. The drop was attributed to concern over the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Approximately least 3.5 million Americans are of Arab descent, according to figures from the Arab American Institute. The ethnic grouping constitutes an community made up of several waves of immigrants from 22 Arab countries. (menareport.com)

What is the general thought among the bad guys? A lead terrorist siad that "we are suffocating" so I wonder if they would be relieved if the US was pulled out by John Kerry. That would be the best defense, to get him elected.

I saw that. Some cartoons have some truth, this one is all truth. "Anybody but Bush" sounds like my Father actually.

The Zogbys are putting out that fewer Arab-Americans are donating more money. Don't know if it's true or not. But E.D. on FNC this morning reported it as gospel. Trust but verify, E.D.

They are grateful for Bush liberating their country.
They should also go on TV and say so, and making the point, that if a Dem were in the White House, Saddam would still be murdering the Iraqi people by the thousands.

(If you are not voting for Bush, you are voting for the terrorists.)

I'd bet there are a fair share of Iraqi Americans in Dearborn, MI who'll be supporting President Bush.

But I thought the MSM was stating that Arab Americans were going to vote Democratic this year. Who to believe?

Oh I think there will be a good chunk that will vote for Bush, just as I believe many Jewish folks will. If you believe everything the media reports, only white, racist, wealthy men are going to vote for Bush. And this white, comfortable-living warrior princess will vote for him too. ;)

Wonder how many are donating for access to the President. You think terrorists would try that? They do check the people at the fundraisers and other events, but I wouldn't rule out some looking for an opportunity.

I have read the number of about 2 million Americans of Arab descent (which does not include Iranians, who are not Arabs) -- and that approximately 80% of all Arab Americans are Christians, not Muslims.
