I'm with you. Not a single Republican elected official should utter a peep. And FR should refrain from wild speculation.

" Not a single Republican elected official should utter a peep. "

Not a single Republican has.

"And FR should refrain from wild speculation."

You need a job? Perhaps FR needs a monitor.

Hewitt set a great tone on this issue last week: noting the story itself and the press ignoring it as unsubstantiated allegations. He went as far as to compare the coverage of this story to that of the President's military record, noting the voracity of their exploration of the President's background. But, he stayed away from the actual allegations as the subject of commentary and when Kerry issued a denial, Hewitt said 'that's it then.' The Kerry part of the story was over. Very shrewd response, IMO.

This story has nothing to do with Kerry's character (as yet) and everything to do with that of the mainstream press and that is where the focus should be directed. Kerry's alleged infidelity is irrelevant. The Press infidelity to their Constitutional chastity is what should be of tremendous concern here... and more reprehensible when we note that they screw themsleves in the process cheating on America.

We need to be careful here........this could be a set up to discredit the right.

I see, so if we continue to follow this discussion the press will report unfavorably on "the right" from now on? Perhaps they will discount all of our policies and treat us as though we are all nutcases. Good call. Lets all shut up and they will treat us nicely.
