I think that someone said that Turnipspeed is a FR lurker and that he is really upset with how the media used his words out of context.

The name "Turnipseed" is a little unusual, but I've known many people who have that last name, most of them fine folks.

This is the best part of this whole "scandal."I like the way the various news readers stumble and try to find creative ways to pronounce it. They don't seem to want to believe it's the way it looks. ;-)

...Turnipseed...Back at the Blue Zoo, in the summer of '72 or '73, I met a kid named "Turnipseed" ... certainly a memorable name ... I'm guessing now he was probably the son of then-Col Turnipseed.
