Yesterday Bush came to FL - I happened to have ABC on (I never do, but someone had flipped the channel by accident)

Much more than the visit, they highlighted a protester on the bridge. They also did interviews at the fair ("2/3 would prefer to see a change in the White House") and mentioned that Bush's visit is being billed to the taxpayers (funny, I don't seem to ever hear them saying that about Clinton, not even the visit to Africa with 1000 people including his mother in law)

The liberal press is in high "Destroy Bush" mode.

The liberal press is in high "Destroy Bush" mode.

And I think they will win. The distortions and outright lies by them are more influential than ever, IMO, because the average American voter is so uninformed and cannot think! There is trouble ahead.

If the US had run the War on Terror with the same attitude and motivation as the WH is so far running this campaign, we'd still be in the UN arguing what sanctions to apply to the Taliban.

**

I hate to admit it, but I think you are right there. The President and his people must face up to the fact that W is in a race against people who will stop at nothing -- legal/moral or not -- to regain the WH and expand their power. Bush and his organizers need to come swinging against them and the Rat Propaganda Ministry, aka the press.
There are far too many members of the electorate who do not keep themselves informed and can, thus, have their opinions shaped by CNNABCCBS.

BTW, please watch your language when we ladies are around. Thanks.

We already went through the nepotism deal with John F. Kennedy. He named his brother AG and it was recognized for what it was. There would be no question as to he won the election. JFK did of course. You can't do that anymore. She can name Bill to the healthcare task force. He knows a lot about hurting people.

I just remembered about campaign finance reform and how the Clintons will use this with the late entry into the race by Hillary.

Perhaps Hillary was named after the man, it's possible that her name was changed. Maybe that has something to do with the reason why her birthcertificate is kept secret. Who knows, maybe Hillary was adopted.

That Hillary...always so secretive!

Everything is under wraps!

Her birth certificate

Her college thesis

Her identity...

>>1. Hillary VP Talk Heats Up

With all the chatter that a Kerry-Edwards ticket is in the works, don't bet on it - yet.

Washington is abuzz that Sen. Hillary Clinton still may consider the VP option.

NewsMax has repeatedly warned that Hillary would take the second slot if she thought the Democrats had a good shot at taking the White House.

Agreeing with that assessment is former Clinton adviser Dick Morris.

Morris said this week that the VP slot is Hillary's if she wants it.

Some pundits have dismissed the idea of having two Northeast liberals - Kerry and Hillary - on the same ticket.

While the Kerry-Edwards ticket might give some geographic and ideological balance, Morris argues that a Kerry-Hillary ticket would bring more votes to the ticket.

He says Hillary would motivate the Democratic base - special interest groups such as feminists, unions, pro-choicers et al. - as no other candidate could. And that, Morris says, would be more important for the ticket.

Other Washington pundits tell NewsMax they doubt Edwards could even rope in North Carolina for the Democrats with ultra-liberal Kerry leading the ticket.

But Hillary's addition to the ticket may just make several key swing states - such as Florida, Iowa, Arkansas, New Mexico and Ohio - winnable for the Democrats.

The bottom line is Morris' advice to Hillary: Take the VP slot. Even if you lose, you win as the presumptive nominee for 2008. If Edwards is the VP candidate and loses, he will be a leading candidate for 2008.
