[history]
Nobody wants to raise this puzzling but important question.
The single most puzzling -- and arguably most important -- question of the day is the one no one raises in public: Why have we not been attacked again?
We are coming up on two and a half years since Sept. 11. Think back: On Sept. 11, everybody was waiting for the other shoe to drop -- within days or weeks, but surely within months. When nothing happened, it was said that al-Qaida works on 18-month cycles, with long planning and preparation.

A fascinating analogy:
Oklahoma City as Coventry.
And what, then, is our current, "Enigma" machine?
and how much do we really know?
PS. The WMD business is not over yet, of course.
To: Burkeman1
And you don't when you say....Don't put words in my mouth. I NEVER said anything like that.
To: Burkeman1
I don't trust the gov in everything. We are not talking about everything, We are talking about the war on terrorism.
Would you fault Churchill for Coventry?
This important for you to answer. If you can't then you are very limited in the scope of what you are talking about and your hate takes over blinding you.
To: edwin hubble
Not equating Coventry with OKC.
Some people call Bush a liar for his so called decieving
us into war with Iraq when the case for war has been made even stronger after.
I want to know if those people would call Churchill a liar for Coventry.
The comparison is not exact but what is.
We are at war with very deceptive people using our freedoms against us.
To: edwin hubble
Enigma was kept perfectly secret for good reason.
We won't know for some time what the current enigma is/was.

And why did one American soldier die in Iraq or lose a limb?
Please post your essays so I can send them to the guys with no arms or legs or eyes, or faces, or burns over 80 percent of their bodies?
Why are we in Iraq? Did it protect the guy in Athol Massachussetts on his farm?
How about the guy in the high rise in Boston?
Are we any safer at all after 540 are dead, 3000 maimed for life, and hundreds of billions spent in Iraq for many many years? And the Casualties will most likely still come daily.
And yet this war on Terrorism will go on for how long?
Might as well wage a war on SIN!
Long war folks.

So then you don't believe we are at war with terrorists?
And that if we do nothing then we will all live in peace?
How dare you use those brave soldiers to further your hateful argument. They are putting their lives on the line to keep terroism from spreading whether you know it or not.
How dare you use them to your petty advantage.
It's called war and if not for those brave soldiers it would be far worse.
What would you do.
Answer the question of Coventry then talk high and mighty.
But apparently you can't.
This war might go on for a long time. As long as it takes.
Reality is not a half hour tv show.

And when will you know it is over?I see you are drunk again.
To: Texasforever
Yep- but when will you Tex? Know the war is over? That is? When who tells you?

Took them 9 years in between the first two WTC bombings. Maybe their supply of suicide bombers who can get into the USA is small.

HATE, HATE, HATE. That's all your argument is
Nothing constructive or positive.
HOW DARE YOU USE THOSE BRAVE SOLDIERS IN YOUR PETTY THOUGHTS.
YOU ARE NOT WORTHY ENOUGH TO CLEAN THE BOTTOM OF THIER BOOTS.
To: Burkeman1
Yep- but when will you Tex? Know the war is over? When Muslims stop blowing things and people up. It is really that simple. They can stop the war any time they want. It is all up to them.
To: Burkeman1
I wouldn't cross the street to relieve myself on him if he was on fire. Who, John eFing Kerry?
