Two new 30-second television ads paid for by opponents of Proposition 56, a coalition of business groups, began airing this week in the state's four largest media markets: Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Sacramento. Following is an analysis of one of the ads by Clea Benson of The Bee Capitol Bureau.

That's what steams me about the "Yes on 56" ads. All they focus on is how legislators won't get paid during budget gridlock. It says NOTHING about reducing the majority from two-thirds to only a little more than fifty percent! Nevermind that the idiot Leftists who got California into this budget mess are the MAJORITY in the California Legislature!
Leave it to the Leftists to leave out the most salient facts while focusing on the fuzzy feel-goods to pitch their abominations to the public. Soulless b@st@rds...

When you see the next "Yes on 56" ad, listen carefully... they talk about "changing" the percentage needed to pass a budget/raise taxes to 55%, not "reducing" the percentage.
Freepers are well informed - and most know that today it takes 67% to pass a budget/raise taxes in California. However, most of the apolitical citizens in California don't know this - and probably think that "changing" the percentage to 55% means an increase in percentage!!
