We have a former Black Panther member coming to campus.
Anyone have good questions or points that should be raised by conservatives, who will be there?
Thanks. The following is the event description:
Elaine Brown, the first woman leader of the Black Panthers will speak on her experiences and the legacy of the Black Panthers.
Today, as an activist, writer and popular lecturer, Brown upholds the original vision of the Panthers and the survival programs they developed like the Free Breakfast Program for Children, Sickle Cell Anemia Testing, free health clinics, Senior Services, among others. She lectures on the vision of an inclusive and egalitarian society, focusing on resolving problems of race, gender oppression and class disparity in the United States.
The radio show on which Bobby Seale and I appeared and which he refers to in this partial confession was hosted by Pat Buchanan and Al From. Far from "busting [my] butt," Seale conceded both on air and off that what I was saying about Panther criminality was right. But he contended that it was all Eldridge Cleaver's fault and/or that he (Seale) knew nothing about it at the time. Seale is correct that when Newton, Elaine Brown and other Panthers murdered Betty Van Patter, he was no longer a member of the party. He had been beaten up and sodomized by Newton and had disappeared for more than a year because he was afraid for his life.

Is Betty Van Patter David's friend in question?
Do a Google search on ... muslim, Islam, and "Black Panthers" and you will see what I mean.
The first website I came to there is at http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/3314.
Good luck.

"The History of Black Voting Rights."
Lots of historical facts and the references to back them up. It's also a good read.
Being a hypocrite was also what she was. On the one hand she said uneducated people could never make it, and then said all those who were uneducated and (at times black too!) did so by exploiting others.
She called the American Revolution and George Washington related history "myths" and that the real history of America was not being told in schools.
She wants $0 defense budget, huge government, with free health care, etc. etc.
She compared how "great" it is to be in countries like France where there is "no" crime, poverty, etc.
She also went on and on about Iraq and our "murderous" activities in places like Panama.
Well, that was the easy part.
Questions came, and I was the first to ask questions. I asked her 3:
1. David Horowitz, back in the days he was liberal, told one of his friends Betty Van Patter to go work for the Black Panthers. She was found murdered by them. This was part of the criminal activity of the Black Panthers in areas such as prostitution, drug dealing, and extortion. What do you have to say about that?
2. What dealings have the Black Panthers had with the militant organizations known as the Nation of Islam, specifically in calling for the destruction of Israel?
3. It seems to me the Black Movement is too concerned about their "oppression" in America then the fact slavery exists in much of the Arab world. I have yet to hear anyone cry out about that, etc. Blacks in America have a better life then blacks anywhere in the world.
Answers:
1. "David is my personal nemesis. He is a racist, and full of lies. I will not answer anything about what he has to say about this, or about some white woman, who he probably had murdered." (she continued about Horowitz, claiming I was a personal friend of his, etc. for about 8min).
2. About the Nation of Islam she called the Zionists racists and that America helped them murder Arab children. She also said she supported terrorist activities of the PLO and others murdering Jews in Israel. She said she wasn't against Jews, but just the Zionist government. She wants a state which is for both Arabs and Jews (that is, no Jewish state). She said they allied with the Nation of Islam on some fronts.
3. About the slavery in Africa, etc. she blamed it on America for stealing everything in Africa. She said America was buddies with all those slave owners, and claimed she did care about them being in slavery (yeah, right). But then she rambled on about the "slavery" that there is in America. How a lot of Blacks are in jails for doing "nothing" at all.
After this Q&A period, I went up to her, as I do to any speaker, to speak to her about some other things. Here is where the problem started. There was also a Catholic conservative with me, who asked her questions as well afterwords. She budged us, and in addition, when I tried to ask her something, she said I have already asked her enough, and then someone from the black group came up to me and said "we" paid for her, while another person said that she has to go. Little did I know that even though it is a student club, which my tuition partially funds, only members (who were black) could talk to her after, etc. They lied when they told us she had to leave etc.
Before she moved away, she was going to answer something, but asked what my name was. I said "Yoni" and she said with an undertone "What kind of name is Yoni?" and I said Israeli. Then she said how the Black Panthers infiltrated Israel, etc. in the 60s-70s. She then started moving away from me, leaving me to face some big black bully, telling me that if I had a problem with her then come talk to him. I was like, what the heck are you talking about? Just because I have questions, doesn't mean nothing at all, and we are not trying to make any trouble. I do this with every speaker afterwords, and that is why the speaker stays after.
Basically, they were quelling anyone who disagreed with her and pushed them out. They also tried to incite us to fight them, etc. So we left.
All those who were left in the room were people who agreed with her, members of this black club, and only black people.
She was a racist and so were many of the people there.
