I'm sorry, but since Kerry was doing the wife of the Editor of the NYT, the left wing newspapers have had to recuse themselves. They know it is a wonderful and impotrtant story but since they made such an issue of Scalia recusing himself for going duck hunting with Cheney they feel that journalistic integrity requires that they leave this alone.

My guess as to who will break the silence first.

Fox News on Fox & Friends tommorrow morning unless, O'Reilly decides to run with it tonite.

Once that happens they will fall in line like good little serfs, CNN, ABC, NBC, and tagging along will be CBS.

Seems like an odd question when Drudge's rumor is about the press.

"A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS."

Will Press Pounce on Drudge's Kerry Rumor?

The "mainstream" (sic) press only pounces on rumors that negatively affect Republicans and Conservatives. In those cases, the rumors are framed as "charges."

When rumors circulate about something damaging to Democrats and Leftists, the stories are either spiked or framed as "unsubstantiated allegations."

Mark my words. This will receive little or no coverage except for character assassination of the originator of the scandal story.

(Will Press Pounce on Drudge's Kerry Rumor?)

Considering the press is Lib. I very much doubt it. If they do it will be after he is nominated.

Fox news can't be the first outlet to cover this--that way it'll get easily dismissed. Let the Rats (considering they dropped this bomb) fight it out and report it.

If this had been about Bush, they would have found it. The lamestream media is getting silly.

...editor of The Washington Post, acknowledged that his staff had begun to dig deeper into the life and career of Kerry, but said he had not heard anything about an alleged infidelity.

"A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Kerry has been underway at Time magazine, ABC News, the Washington Post and the Associated Press, where the woman in question once worked,"

Well...isn't that precious. A "serious investigation" is underway by the mediacrats. Why is it that democratic scandals are always seriously investigated BEFORE going to press while Republican scandals...or even accusations, are just thrown out ther without any investigation (See Bush AWOL). I have yet to see the lamestream media report on this story for which they have known about for some time now. As always, when a story is detrimental to Democrats it is Drudge or the alternative media that breaks it before the mediacrats will touch it. They did the same with the Lewisnsky and Broaderick scandals...which they both knew about, but failed to report until the conservative side broke it. The media no longer investigates Democrats...it holds stories "until" they see if they may break. With Republicans like Bush, however, they turn rumors and fallacious allegations into headline news.

It was funny watching Judy Woodruff on CNN today. She knew we knew and we knew she knew we knew except she didn't say anything about the Kerry scandal even though we could read her thoughts.

I don't think she's that pretty.
Not to mention her execrable taste in men if she did get involved with Kerry.

Leonard Downie Jr., executive editor of The Washington Post, acknowledged that his staff had begun to dig deeper into the life and career of Kerry, but said he had not heard anything about an alleged infidelity. "What we're finding, I don't know," he said. "This is the first we are looking into him this way."

The Washington Post is too busy trying to find 1972 stool samples from Bush to pursue this.

Of course the mainstream media will ignore this, at least until events leave them no choice. You can't expect them to care about being AWOL from a marriage when they can't even define what marriage is.

Will the liberal press jump on it? To the lamestream press, this is one story where none of them wants credit for the "scoop". The networks are all throwing quick, dejected glances at each other, wondering which one is going to tell the unsuspecting widow (largely uninformed dem voting bloc) that hubby was just snuffed by a freight train. Fox must be nearing eruption.
