it sounds like we should be very cautious about this, it could be a setup. at best, if its only an affair and nothing else, I don't think it has legs at all. we should realize the number of US marriages then end in divorce, mostly due to adultery. unless the woman is MUCH younger, or there is another angle to the story, some kind of coverup, its not going anywhere. Kerry's post vietnam behavior, his bad record on support for the military and national security, should be a much bigger story then whether he had an affair.

Absolutely, and anyone thinking otherwise is deluding themselves.
If it's simply banging an intern it's not going to end up hurting Kerry.
Has to be something like knocking her up and Kerry paying her to have an abortion to have any effect, and even that will have less effect than people think, as people who would be horrified at that weren't going to vote Kerry in the first place.

Agree with your post 78. There's enough issue/record stuff to pound Kerry with, and it was starting to happen. But there's plenty of time for that - right now someone is trying to take Kerry down BEFORE he is declared the nominee. We can sit back and enjoy the fireworks, none of this is helping Kerry or the Dems.
