CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS - Thread 1

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive** **Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Now this is interesting. Sex isn't going to disqualify Kerry. It needs to have an angle. Kink perhaps?

The only genuinely "kinky" thing Kerry could conceivably do, sexually, would be to make it with Theresa. :)

Well, at least Kerry sent his intern "friend" out of the country instead of a rendezvous in Rock Creek Park.

Perhaps we now have a clue concerning Kerry's Domestic and Foreign Trade policies.

Deal.

Let's focus on the chaos amongst the Dems for now! It's fun!

"Sex isn't going to disqualify Kerry. It needs to have an angle. Kink perhaps? "

This is not a sex scandal. It's a question of loyalty. When a woman worth $700 Million marries a cad she has a right to expect exclusive use.

If Kerry won't stay bought for $700 Million, how can a lowly lobbyist expect him to stay bought for a mere $100,000?

Hmmm, Susan Estrich is on Hannity right now pooh-poohing the story and any significance. And I don't recall the nets sitting on the AWOL story until someone else broke it.

Yet, if the Clintons are behind this, why are we only seeing in on Drudge when they have the Clinton News Network and the alphabets at their beck and call? And why is their hand picked boy, Clark, now endorsing Kerry? I guess I'm just not smart enough to contemplate the inner workings of dirty politics.

She gets the nomination, and does so without having to run in the primaries (where her own weaknesses would be exposed), thereby immediately inheriting a united, and desparate, Democratic Party.

Here's the beauty of campaign finance reform. After the convention winds down, there are only a few weeks before the election cycle enters that three month restricted speech zone. Minimal exposure for the stealth nominee.

Thank you.

What I love Estridge is playing the it's a 5 year old story. However, she was the one who started it on Hannity and Colmes and how dems are not interested in the President's National Guard service. Ok, she's lying.

Terry Mross You wrote...Maybe Sean is talking about Ed Asner. He's in the same "business" as Sean...

Ed Asner's too old and don't think Sean could care less about Asner. I think it's an anchor from the mainstream press or possibly a rival cable. Someone we'd recognize.

This won't hurt Kerry in the eyes of the same DAMNocrats that voted Klintoon in twice. If anything, this might help Kerry.

When I posted the link this morning, I was responding to an article that mentioned a blonde model. I make no claims that it is the woman in question, though it is interesting that she would include the picture with Kerry on her modeling page.

Esttrich on Hannity saying this is old news. How can it be old news when no-one reported on it? And wasn't the Bush AWOL thing old news...?

And Sean doesn't need to discredit Asner, because Asner does a great job of discrediting himself.

Because they want it to be perceived as a right wing attack. That's why it's better for Foxnews to let someone else report it first.

I was watching CNN a few minutes ago and someone hinted about something taking Kerry down, but nothing let.

Well, real fun, I've done something REALLY painful. I went to DemocraticUnderground just to see what they were doing and saying. They've gone nuts. Apparently, Drudge is the devil. Apparently, it's all JimRob's fault, and Freepers were Drudge's source. Apparently, it's Rove's fault. Apparently, it's a disaster and Dennis Kucinich is the best bet, no Edwards, no Dean, no Hillary. Now, here's the other fun part. Because it was sourced to Drudge, the moderators at DU decided that they couldn't handle the thread, so they locked it. They haven't grown enough stones to actually pull it.

Hillary's spent her life being #2.

When was Hillary ever #2? Hillary has always been #1, at least in her own mind.
