There are dopey swing voters (mostly female) out there who will factor sympathy into whom they vote for. If Hillary runs for Pres or VP in 2004, there will be women who don't vote for her the first time around who will figure, "Oh, well, she tries so hard and she's been through so much and she lost last time and Chelsea's getting married and she'll feel lonely..." Who do you think watches all those Lifetime TV movies? Sure, some Lifetime viewers always vote for Democrats, but some swing, and many would swing for Hillary if she ran again after losing the first time.

Teresa is not Hillary. She has her own identity that doesn't depend on John Effing. She also has a lot of pride. I don't think she'll take any of the options you mention if this story is confirmed. PS she has a rock solid pre-nup. You'll see. She is a female Democrat. She will do anything for the team.

But didn't it take the media four or five days to follow up when Drudge broke the Monica story?

>> Hillary ...
Make me think that a really balanced ticket would be Kerry and a woman scorned.

**I'm really starting to suspect the Clintons are the source of the flood of bad Kerry news.**
Following along with that thought:
If the Clintons don't want Dean,
and they don't want Kerry,
and they have already lost Clark,
then what are the Clintons to do?
I'm afraid to answer my own question! LOL!

I've been gone since early this morning----Have any of the media picked this up, or only conservative radio?
Rush was hysterical about this today!
To: Salvation
Because it takes that long for them and the DNC to decide how to cover it. maybe...

>> The LA Times said the late release of the story was because it took so long to verify the facts.
> Right !!
I had a buddy that worked at USA Today during the Clinton years. He said that USA Today had a very large file of stuff on Clinton that was never used. They had it, confirmed it, but would not run it. The way he described it, that there was sort of a gentlemen's agreement between newspapers at least about breaking stories on Clinton without being forced by some external source. That fits with how Monica broke on Drudge.

You know, I think you're right.
Just reaffirms my opinion of the eternal wisdom of the founding fathers restricting franchise to "freeholders" (land and business owners).
It would be impossible for even the most die-hard Suffragette to deny your characterization of dopey (mostly female) swing voters.
In my mind, I have a clear image of the kind of person you describe, and it just curdles my blood to know their vote will cancel mine.

You and I think alike, my friend.

I'm practical enough to know the obvious reason is that the media has a decided liberal bias.
But, deep down, viscerally -- I don't understand WHY.
Why don't these people care about truth, about the rule of law, about ethics in government -- WHY don't they care about America.
I just don't get it.

Not until morning, huh?

**Well, at least Kerry sent his intern "friend" out of the country instead of a rendezvous in Rock Creek Park.**
And hopefully there won't be a Massachusetts-ide. Remember all the Arkancides we talked about with slick willie?

What great questions. I really mean it. I don't know how many times I have wonder the same thing. Power? Politcial Access? I'm not sure. I can say that most people in the press are not highly evolved intellectually and are not students of history - despite what they think they studied in college.

I'm showing my age here a little -- but the Superman TV series, the original one back in the 50's always opened with Superman standing there looking strong while the announcer proclaimed he stood for "Truth, Justice and the American Way."
It all seems so clear to me, why would anyone in the media have any other agenda.
If these media representatives were deep moles, planted by communist handlers, intent on our absolute destruction, I don't think they could do any more harm than they are doing today to our culture, our nation, our country.
It just sickens me through and through.
And, alarmingly, our government is just as bad.
9-11 should've never happened -- and no one has been held accountable.
And now we have amnesty, FTAA, CFR, Patriot Acts, unrestrained growth of the federal bureaucracy, immoral taxation, etc., etc. -- and we seem powerless to correct the course. The tide is too strong to overcome.

Heck, I can't even remember all my professor's name in college....and that was only about 6-7 years ago, lol! (But a dentist/doctor's supposed to remember every patient? give me a break.)
