" Can anyone then file a MARRIED return for M-F, M-M, F-F, M-Animal, F-Animal?"

*sigh* The old "they'll be marrying barnyard animals next" argument. Marriage is a contract. Contracts require consent. Animals cannot consent. Therefore, no contract between a human and animal is valid. If ever there was a non-issue, this is it.

Perhaps - but if the animal isn't harmed, then given the current arguments, there is really no reason not to allow open sex between the species. Disgusting, but that is where we are headed. Scalia made this argument in the LAwrence case.

My question still is: "Has anyone been required to show proof of marriage to the IRS to qualify for the MARRIED status on a 1040 return?"

I agree. My concern in polygamy. When will muslims vote in a mayor who will begin to grant marriage licenses to muslim men in order that they may have their "rightfully" ordained four wives and will most likely be sending for them from overseas... many of whom will be young and ignorant.
