Dear Friends,
As I indicated in a previous email, the Democrats in the State Legislature are pushing for a new bill to give drivers licenses to illegal aliens SB 1160.
What has been greatly disappointing to me is that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he supports this effort even after he worked with Republican State Senator Rico Oller to kill the original drivers license-for-illegal-aliens bill, SB 60.
Today the language for SB 1160 was introduced and it is apparent that this measure is going to be pushed through the State Legislature and on to Governor Schwarzeneggers desk for him to sign.
The proponents have even made it an urgency measure - this means it would take effect immediately after the bill is signed!
WE MUST RALLY TOGETHER TO STOP THIS EFFORT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
NO DRIVERS LICENSES FOR ILLEGALS RALLY Sat. February 21 10:30 AM
One of the most successful tools we used to help build momentum for the Recall Gray Davis effort was the use of large rallies. These rallies received substantial media coverage which furthered our cause and helped to excite our supporters to get involved and take action.
We must do this again and there is little time to spare.
Thats why Im organizing a NO DRIVERS LICENSES FOR ILLEGALS RALLY on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:30 AM. The rally will take place outside of the Burlingame Hyatt Hotel where the California Republican Party Convention will be taking place.
I have selected this location and date because media outlets from throughout the state will be gathered here to cover the Republican convention.
This will provide us maximum media exposure in our efforts to stop SB 1160.
But we will only be victorious if we can amass a large crowd next Saturday. I need you to go to whatever lengths you need to so that you can attend. Bring your family. Bring friends and neighbors.
Please post news of this rally to newsgroups. Forward this email to anyone you know who shares your outrage over this proposal.
We sent a loud message through the Recall Gray Davis effort that we, the people, would not tolerate our leaders abandoning what was in our states best interests. We made it clear that advancing their own political interests at our expense was unacceptable.
It seems these same leaders need a reminder of the power of the people.
Sincerely,
Howard Kaloogian

Enough is Enough!
Rewarding Illegal Aliens is NOT the solution to our Illegal Immigration problem. Our political leaders are FAILING us and abandoning the vast majority of Californians who oppose giving drivers licenses to illegal aliens.

Somebody Save Us - From Gray Davis
is now retired to the archives.
You shouldn't be surprised, ALL politicians are liars and will say or do anything to grab power. That's it in a nutshell.
Kaloogian served in the State Assembly from 1994-2000 and stuck to his conservative principles and campaign promises.
I appreciate that the pressures to sell out will be greater in the U.S. Senate... but Kaloogian is head and shoulders above Jones who while in the State Assembly sold us out and then sold out and opposed GOP backing of the Recall Gray Davis effort.

Look on the left hand side for the license plate!
That's worth a BUmp!
(apologies for any duplicate bumps from other posters)
Good luck finding something that rhymes with Shwartzenegger!
Before we all are beggar's, better dump Shwartzenegger
Gee, that would motivate a crowd (NOT)!
Howard has been a consistent man of principle. If elected, that would not change.
I'd bet the farm on it.
