Found: A Smoking Gun

In the town of Kalar, about a hundred miles northeast of Baghdad, Kurdish villagers recently reported suspicious activity to the pesh merga.

That Kurdish militia has for years been waging a bloody battle with Ansar al-Islam, the terrorist group affiliated with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and supported by Saddam Hussein in Iraq. It captured a courier carrying a message that demolishes the repeated claim of Bush critics that there was never a "clear link" between Saddam and Osama bin Laden.

The terrorist courier with a CD-ROM containing a 17-page document and other messages was Hassan Ghul, who confessed he was taking to Al Qaeda the Ansar document setting forth a strategy to start an Iraqi civil war, along with a plea for reinforcements. The Kurds turned him over to Americans for further interrogation, which is proving fruitful.

Well, well. When is this story going to be all over ABC, SeeBS, NBC, NPR, and CNN so that the somnambulant, uninformed American voters can learn of it? Probably not much will be seen.

That's the way the liberal media wants the public - uninformed. Conservatives' problem is that we are correct on the issues, but 80% of the people never learn the details of those issues - thanks to the liberal/Democrat/mainstream media. It's a bad situation when the media has this much ability to keep the majority of the people ignorant.

Why does the Times refuse to report this story as news?

Why just the opinion section?

Is that failure to report this story as news not a serious error of omission?

"The Kurds turned him over to Americans for further interrogation, which is proving fruitful"

Not as fruitful as the Kurds' interrogation, I would think. As to opinion not news, it is the Clymers' major fishwrap. Don't want to muddy the Rat agenda with facts....

BTTT. Thanks for posting this important op-ed!!

Dissed Information: Media Ignores Saddam-Osama Link, By Dale Hurd CBN News Sr. Reporter

Former CIA Director James Woolsey says a Saddam-Bin Laden connection is irrefutable.

CBN.com – Since when does the Washington press corps not care about a leaked, classified Pentagon memo? Maybe when it makes the media look bad, or maybe when it makes the president look good.
