By Mike Allen and Lois Romano Washington Post Staff Writers Thursday, February 12, 2004; Page A01

The White House last night released a document showing that President Bush was at a military base in Alabama during the last year of his National Guard service, but aides backed away from his weekend pledge to release all his military records.

Bush's staff provided copies of a one-page record of a dental exam, complete with drawings of Bush's teeth, that showed he was at Dannelly Air National Guard base in Montgomery, Ala., on Jan. 6, 1973.

The document is the first definitive evidence that Bush showed up at a base of the Alabama National Guard during a period of about a year, from May 1972 to May 1973, for which it was unclear how the president had fulfilled his military service. Earlier this week, the White House released records showing Bush had been paid for days of service during that period, including the date of the dental exam. But the records did not say where Bush had been.

The White House released the records this week in an effort to end a controversy that has put White House aides on the defensive amid Democratic accusations that Bush shirked his duty. Administration officials declined yesterday to commit to releasing further records, despite a statement Sunday by Bush on NBC's "Meet the Press" that he would open his entire military file.

This is a concerted effort by the democrats in the press to slander the President. It is obvious to me that they will not stop even when the facts say otherwise because it is a slime campaign. We even know where it comes from - Terry McAwfull.

It just proves to me that the press is still carrying water for the democrats.

Notice, your not seen coverage about Kerry, post Vietnam very much. Clear evidence of Bias .

Maybe the press needs to start watching the advertisements that run during their broadcasts. The ones for panic-attacks and what-not. They need MEDICATION! Maybe we should begin writing the networks and inform them that their White House correspondents are in need of mental health services. Or we should accuse them of neglecting the mental health of their employees.

This is going too far! Looking at the mans teeth for petes sake! when is it going to end!

I just had a colonoscopy and an upper gastrointestinal exam. That's right, they shove a camera several feet up one end and down the other. I think that nothing less would shut these hounds up. And they would probably complain about not using the same camera....

Now it's Kerry's turn to release HIS dental records. ;-D

Be careful what you wish for! I've already had plenty of exposure to what comes out of Kerry's mouth!...LOL!

That might not be such a bad thing. Keep pumping the AWOL story and they'll continue to alienate voters to Kerry and create sympathy for the President every day.

You're right Huck. Kerry has voted against practically every bill involving weapons for the military for years and years (when he showed up that is).

Here's an article on AWOL in the Fight Against GWB (He showed up to vote only 28% of the time in 2003!)

Here's an article on Kerry's Actions in Decimating our Intel Services(my title).

Finally, here is Kerry's Military Voting Record. (Pathetic!)

All this demonstrates Kerry's basic distaste of and non-support for our fine military.

His teeth were at the base. We don't really know if Bush was at the base.

And talk about extreme. His statements from the 70s are way out there. He was all the way out in Jerry Rubin territory. All of that is going to cancel out his Nam record come November I think. Unless people have no more fear of terrorism, if the choice is between an overaggressive foreign policy and a wimpy foreign policy, I think I know what the choice is. And I say overaggressive just for the sake of discussion, not to stir a debate on whether or not it is. What I mean to say is if you are, like me, sort of squishy on Iraq, for example, you still can't choose Kerry. He's too extreme.

Asking for his medical records about the Vietnam injuries...............I like it.

Sounds more than fair to me.

I think I know which rumors you're talking about, and I've seen references to two of them this week -- one by Michael Moore, and one by Moby.

Moby and Moore are going to be like a pair of boat anchors 'round the Rat nominees ankle parts. One literally, the other figuratively. ;)

I guess they forgot that Gore flunked out of 2 schools. One was Divinity school. Like Rush said how in the world do you flunk God!!

I'm sure you know, too, that a lot of sheeples think that he is a lawyer! Boy do they get upset and not believe when you tell them he's not!

No one is interested. So, why is the White House in such a tizz about all this nonsense? One day it's releasing pay records, the next it's dental. I mean, what in the heck is going on?

Well, it strikes me as exposing the dems and certain media types for the craven liars that they are.

Appears to be working.

Time and again President Bush is shown to be the truth teller.

As to "no one in is interested", haven't tuned into the cable channels lately, eh? You propose these rabid dogs be allowed to bark and bray without response?

Blah, blah, blah, let's examine this minutia all over again.

You got that much right...

Meanwhile, the WaPost couldn't expend one inch of column space today about the Fonda/Kerry photo.

Why would they? From what I gather, the photo was taken in 1970, rather before Fonda made her little visit to VietNam. And he's not sitting with her - he's like 20 yards behind her, ferchrissakes.

I'm not out to defend the guy, but that whole business is just plain absurd.
