I agree with you. But Hillary would want to get some national exposure first - which is where being John F. Kerry's running mate comes in. And on the off-chance he does somehow win in November, Hillary's just a heartbeat away from the Oval Office and Kerry's Massacide can easily be arranged at a time convenient for Madame Hillary's ambitions.

Kerry's prostate problem forces him to retire suddenly.
VP becomes Pres.
Hillary appointed VP byConstitutional amendment (like Agnew -> Rockefeller).
Convenient Arkancide and X42 becomes "First He-Whore"
