I remember back in the early days of the Reagan Administration, there was some particularly obnoxious reporter who kept heckling Reagan with the same stupid questions over and over. Reagan finally had enough and said "shut up!" The reporter was tossed out and had his credentials pulled.

No, I don't remember an incident of Reagan getting a reporter fired from the WH Press Corps for being obnoxious. And if Helen Thomas hasn't earned such treatment, it's hard to imagine someone else doing worse. That's not to say it didn't happen, but I don't recall it.
