Great letter Ohio. But I don't understand the part about Carter pardoning Clinton. When did that happen?

Here's the reference in your letter...In 1992, Kerry stated to the Senate that one’s decision about Viet Nam was irrelevant to a presidential campaign, in defense of Clinton, a draft dodger and felon, pardoned by Carter. Now it seems he has changed his tune.

When Carter was President, he pardoned Clinton for evading the draft during Viet Nam.

I'll see if I can look up the source for you.......

NO, Clinton was never considered a draft dodger by law. He avoided the draft in his usual slick manner.

Clinton joined the ROTC and later snookered his way out of the ROTC by registering for the draft when his chances of being drafted wasn't likely. I can post the letter he sent to his ROTC officer if you would like to look into the mind of someone whose aspirations drove him to lie, cheat and steal his way to the top :-)
