President Bush, at the Fort Lesley J. McNair National Defense University in Washington, announced new measures to counter the threat of weapons of mass destruction, for toughter international safeguards to keep nuclear arms technology from falling into the wrong hands.
He plans to attend the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

I like your priest's analogy of deposits and withdrawls. I'm going to get my daughter a copy of the book, and a copy of Stupid Things Women do to Mess up Their Lives when she turns about 18 or so (maybe earlier?)--long BEFORE she thinks about marriage. I recommend any/all of Dr. Laura's books.

Hey guy, don't feel bad that Brad's Gramma (a woman with a keen eye and excellent memory) nailed you for that comment. mike1sg, our "stuck in Iraq" soldier married to mystery-ak, made the faux pas of putting it in writing on the Dose that his wife could buy anything she wanted. ... gurgle ... gasp ... and you guessed it, Brad's Gramma had him double-wrapped in barbed wire in about two minutes for it. hehe See, I never took Mike to mean anything other than, "Well, dear, you know how much money you can spend, and I trust you to spend within that limit." NOT BG!
You have been warned.

Also of much significance (I'll spare you the long and painful history of this) today he told his mom that he was DONE doing things for his dad, it was time to take care of his wife and family. WOW. Good news. Rejoice evermore!

Re being TV-free ... "I depend on FR to tell me if our president is going to be on TV. Then, I have to learn how to turn it on all over again."
Big phatte ditto here.
It is amazing how much more reading I get done since the TV offerings have become sooo repulsive.

Great letter Ohio. But I don't understand the part about Carter pardoning Clinton. When did that happen?
Here's the reference in your letter...In 1992, Kerry stated to the Senate that ones decision about Viet Nam was irrelevant to a presidential campaign, in defense of Clinton, a draft dodger and felon, pardoned by Carter. Now it seems he has changed his tune.

Just mention it in case anyone else wants to agree in prayer against such a scheme ever having a moment to breathe or come alive. JESUS IS LORD but our prayers move His hand!
Today at our women's bible study, we had an AWESOME prayer time and our beloved president, his family, our soldiers and our country were lifted up to the ALMIGHTY!! IT WAS ONE OF THOSE RAIN DOWN HOLY SPIRIT prayer time....JUST AWESOME!! W is in good hands! The Lord has him in the shadow of his wings! AND HE WILL PREVAIL, HE WILL WIN, MARK IT!!!
To: Wphile
When Carter was President, he pardoned Clinton for evading the draft during Viet Nam.
I'll see if I can look up the source for you.......

It's a great letter OWF, If I was you, I would have made it a little more personal by mentioning your Son Eric, not by name, but mentioning his sacrifice and how Terry McAuliffe never served anyone but Bill Clinton and himself. Passion and Rage sells, and I know you possess both of them :-)

That is an excellent summary by Thomas Lipscomb.
For all their pretended confusion about the issue, both Kerry and Clark know from their own experience that no officer who had not met the requirements of his six year service obligation to the satisfaction of his unit commander would have been granted an honorable discharge.
My take is that the dems got wind of a non-scandal that at first seemed like it might be a scandal and hoped that by hurling the accusation, it would make it seem as if Bush pulled strings using the family influence to cover any misdeeds on W's part. All flash, and dash.
Now they are caught in their slander, in which the media is extremely complicit for their lack of investigative reporting.
Who's wearing the brown smelly stuff now?

Yeah........I thought about mentioning Eric, since he's been the subject of an article in the paper, but that stinking word count made me leave it out.
I'll be writing plenty of letters, though, so I can mention it several times before November......
