President Bush, at the Fort Lesley J. McNair National Defense University in Washington, announced new measures to counter the threat of weapons of mass destruction, for toughter international safeguards to keep nuclear arms technology from falling into the wrong hands.

He plans to attend the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Well I wandered aimlessly into this estrogen-soaked thread, and found this post about the Daytona 500, so lemme answer that one, at least.

The race is this Sunday, Feb 15, to celebrate the guy's other true love, following Valentine's Day. Race should be good, the high is expected to be only 62 degrees, but it may rain a bit.

We're praying that no one gets hurt and the race only has a couple of fender benders. Otherwise, stab it and steer!

I wonder about something re Spain's passion to join in the fight against terror, on our side so ardently.

Nations tend to move because they are being pushed. Look at Spain's physicality. Right there, that close, is France, with all its Muslim extremists running around without much check. Right there is France who blocked the US' UN efforts re Iraq. Just across the Med are a lot of Muslim nations. What does Spain know from its own intelligence-gathering efforts; what does Spain know that we have shared with them, about threats to Spain?

I am guessing, A lot.

Another possible way to get the MP3 to someone with space on a web server, if email doesn't work, is to use a free service, such as BadBlue Personal Edition , to upload the file, so that the second person could pick it off and put it on a more permanent server.

That is, lawgirl, in this case, would work her way through downloading and installing and using BadBlue, or whatever, to upload this one file, then tell the second person, Diva if I'm following this right, where to get it, so that Diva could put it on a good server, and then pass the public link back to lawgirl, to include in posts here.

Oh - and if you need it, I have space available as well to put it up on a web server.

Yes, Kitkat and I have an imaginary houseboat staffed by buff military types. Kitkat expects me to do all the work while she lounges on deck drinking margaritas and admiring the crew. She has such a sense of entitlement.

Good to "see" you too. I'm bogged down in two fast track courses until the end of March (in addition to my other courses) so time is at a premium. It's harder for me to retain what I read than it used to be, so I have to read it all 2-3 times. Very annoying!

Aznar has been our friend since early in W's administration. He visited Spain in June, 2001 and I think he was very impressed with our president. I remember we all talked about how happy Aznar looked in those photos.
