Opinion And Editorial | Dan (Metalheadconservative35)

After Being On Freerepublic.com for lil over 2 years now...ive realized that posting on here is an exercise thats best kept as a habit that you shouldnt indulge in too often..so for once i have elected to use this privledge...

I for one..have had it with the lies/half truths and unfinished points spewed by our leftist brethern (mostly meaning those we know at home/friends and the like) yesterday i seen a friend that i havent seen in over a year..it was nice to see that he was indeed alive and well,

i don't remember how politics were brought up last night,i do remember how he asked if i was a republican and i had said yes, for the next hour all i got was a lecture on how horrible bush is and how everything is his fault and how micheal moore knew more than i did,

the conversation ended with "okay..anyways!!" lol,

so basically after hearing all the BS spewed by leftists like these here is my take on it

1: Yes,the economy is bad right now...and finding a job is indeed a pain...but how many people can honestly say that since bush has been in office life In General hasnt been all that different, its not...just as i pointed out..jobs right now are hard to find but i have full confidence that President Bush's plans will fix us in time,we must be resolute and patient

2: The Iraq War: First off,Allow me to point out that We have most likely found Weapons Of Mass Destruction but ill gurantee you that we arent gonna talk about it openly, first reason being that most of those said weapons came from US,France,Germany,Russia & China, and that if we were to point that out publicly..the consequences would be devestating,

2A: Even if by some chance that we do not find Weapons Of Mass Destruction, that getting rid of saddam was still a good reason in the first place..seeing as how in 1991 we did not finish the job, most liberals will tell you (as was told to me) that millions of people are gonna die/have died, Well let's see...if im not mistaken under saddams very brutal dictatorship millions have already died and most of the world didnt even give a damn in the first place,

3: The Excuse that should President Bush be Reelected in the fall of 2004 that some people would immigrate to canada...first off NO You Wont!...i can once again almost guarentee that is all talk...and that life in canada is not all that much diffferent from our own in the US,and that if in fact most liberals and leftists in this country will stay here in the country simply because they are too lazy and too stupid to actually get up the nerve to do it.

4: Micheal Moore: My main gripe with him is that he is a band wagon jumper...and that he used his voice/celeberty status on an awards show last year to openly critcize/taunt bush by saying : Your A Bad Bad Boy Mr Bush,Shame On You (Note: that i have no idea if that is in fact the exact Quote) but still its an awards show..and in my mind much like the sheryl crow statement made on the NHL All Star Game last year, politics have no place in those particular venues,

5: Gun Violence : Being a Hunter/Target Shooter Myself, i will have to say that this gun control must stop, you really want to control the gun violence in the streets? then find a way to take it away from any violent past offenders, take it away from any psychologically impaired people who have in the past or is capable of abusing the 2nd amendment, the person i talked to last night said that he was against gun control yet he was touting on and on on the millions of gun related deaths here in the country as compared to the low percentage in canada...hmm..leave it to a liberal to backtrack over the point he was attempting to make.

6: The Economy: A very close friend of mine who is attending economics class in college pointed out to me that the economy goes through "Natural Cycles" over 20 year periods,Liberals will always tell you how bush's policys ruined our economy and that its once again (surprise surprise) his fault, 1: a presidents economic ideas do not pass overnight, they take time..the economics we are living through are the result of ex-president clinton (note ex-president i am sick and i am tired of the media going "president clinton this, president clinton that years after his term was over) and that bush's tax cuts arent going to work...well last i checked, raising taxes to a population that has a hard time paying taxes already isnt such a good idea either,

7: The Blame Game: Although i may sound very immature to say this but i would have to compare the "game" of hating bush to the equalvent of the american pastime: Baseball...if you ask me its indeed gotten that bad..and that the "hate bush fever" has caught like wildfire all over this country if you ask me for my excuse as to why would things go this "bad" when bush is president,i would equate that to the fact that it was bad timing, and should gore have been president...he would have faced the EXACT same problems/pressures Bush did today 9-11 would have still happenend, the war wouldnt have (face it,gore is was and always will be a coward with no fortitude whatsoever except to cry on TV that the election wasnt fair) like i have said..if gore had been president he would have been just as hated, and his approval numbers would have been just as if in fact lower than president Bush.

In Closing, this election is crucial,to prove that the liberals are fairweather, backwards fact idiots who did nothing but hate bush because they had nothing better to do and that the bush hatred fever is all they believe in,this election can also prove that bush will be the best president weve had since FDR,JFK (who in my opinion was the last good democrat)

Nice rant, hope you feel better. I'm with ya man!

Wouldn't it be sweet, though, if in '04 when Dubya's re-elected, a whole herd of libs (well part of the one big herd they all stay in) was to "flee" to Cananda. Bon Voyage to you all!!

Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.
--H. L. Mencken

When asked to name the chief qualification a politician should have. "It's the ability to foretell what will happen tomorrow, next month, and next year --- and to explain afterward why it didn't happen."
--Sir Winston Churchill

The simple fact is that when I took up my little sling and aimed at Communism, I also hit something else. What I hit was the forces of that great socialist revolution, which, in the name of liberalism, spasmodically, incompletely, somewhat formlessly, always in the same direction, has been inching its ice cap over the nation for two decades. ...[T]hough I knew it existed, I still had no adequate idea of its extent, the depth of its penetration or the fierce vindictiveness of its revolutionary temper, which is a reflex of it struggle to keep and advance its political power.
--Whittaker Chambers former Communist. From his 1952 book Witness

Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.
--Ronald Reagan

Ninety eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hardworking, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then, we elected them.
--Lily Tomlin

The things that will destroy us are: politics without principle; pleasure without conscience; wealth without work; knowledge without character; business without morality; science without humanity; and worship without sacrifice.
--Mahatma Gandhi

"bush will be the best president weve had since FDR,JFK (who in my opinion was the last good democrat)"

Grammar and spelling aside, it is a good post of your thought!

JFK didn't live long enough to realize his potential. He made his mistakes and he admitted them. As far as his tax cut is concerned, he appeared to be a fiscal conservative and socially neutral.

I would say Truman was probably the last good democrat. He was unpolished but honest at least.

It would be nice to have a sane democrat to discuss politics and offer some decent ideas to consider. All they do is to hate, hate, hate, and lie, lie, and lie!

I think he was managing a 30 room Ramada at the time, but I'd have to check.

note ex-president i am sick and i am tired of the media going "president clinton this, president clinton that years after his term was over

This is simple etiquette, it has nothing to do with Clinton or anyone else. A title like "President" or "Senator" adheres for life, just like a military title. Bob Dole is still, properly, "Senator Dole." And, as much as we may dislike him, Bill Clinton is as much "President Clinton" as "President Reagan" is.

Well put, I think! All the libs see is gun violence here and there and they think that banning the guns is fixing the problem. WRONG! How about starting with tougher enforcement of current laws? How about arming the public with knowledge about gun violence statistics and how effective firearms are at deterring violence! Liberal viewpoints all think that guns are a menace and evil. You wanna flee to Canada? How about getting abducted, thrown into a wood chipper and fed to some rich landowner's pigs? How about being systematically disarmed and unable to defend yourself against a bat/knife/lead pipe wielding bad guy? Canada is exponentially more corrupt than the US, and its people are just living with the thought that they can't be victims. Oh, and one last thing... you weren't talking to someone who was against gun control. Remember, Clinton blamed the NRA for the loss of over 20 senate seats over the "Assault weapons" ban. Support the sunset of this ridiculous legislation!

You really need to go back and slap the individual who claimed to teach you english composition; but you know that.

Some may say that it isn't important but I would disagree. The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, is absolutely essential . You seem to have a good grasp of the political situation but your lack of communication skills forced you to concede the argument to your liberal friend. We all need to become as effective as possible in countering the hysterical blitherings of the left if we expect to win this fight. We should all constantly sharpen and hone our debating skills that we may enlighten the useful idiots that the left so depend upon.

Actually, I think his writing skills are excellent. All he needed to do was go back and polish it up by putting in the proper punctuation - that would have made it perfect - but, since he didn't, it's still an excellent piece. Some of us aren't articulate at all in the real world, and being on FR gives us a chance to voice our opinions. You could beat my pointy head till it's flat, and it's still not going to make me any more articulate. <:D

Nicely done. As one who writes too many vanities, it's always a humbling experience when someone points out the DAGM (Dumb-a--ed grammatical mistakes). My only quibble is that I think we should encourage these oaths to go to Canada and make them legally binding. "Alec Baldwin, thy E-Ticket awaits thou!"

of course..i knew i probably had plenty of them...im no scholar..just a humble guitarist from southeast michigan who's very pissed about how most of my countrymen complain and whine about how bad they have it just because the media tells them and then believe it wholeheartedly,

last night my friend said he never watches the news..if you ask me thats BS then where else had he gotten the opinions/beliefs he had other than the fact he's one of those doom/gloom metalheads (who mostly follow the "left" of things" in this respect i believe he's looking for a cause to follow and found the wrong one

Bravo!

Apparently, Michael Moore had connected to the politically uninformed and filled their minds with nonsense. I imagine that your friend will moderate his views given time and maturity.

IMHO, the earth is moving underneath his (and our?) feet. With Fox News and talk radio having a significant impact into the political dialogue, the dominant liberal outlets are and will be on the defensive. The Lib echo chamber is being challenged. This is the good news.

The bad news is that President Bush and the 'Pub led Congress is not helping matters with the tax and spend policies. I hope this situation is more dynamic than I see it. We shall see.
