If we reward Bush with unearned support, we will get 'more of the same'. Shrieking that "the Democrats are coming!" is just a bogeyman tactic, and a false one at that since the RINOs are already here.
Bush is not a conservative; he's not even much of a Republican; who he resembles most closely is FDR, who was strong on defense but saw federal programs as the best way to deal with the country's problems.

Yep. And if he loses, maybe the next Republican to be elected will think twice before abandoning the base of conservative voters.
Or more likely, they'll just keep doing what Bush is doing now, and be one-term presidents. They never learn.

Yep.

If we reward Bush with unearned support,...
You're read the lists of reasons why Bush has earned your support -- here and elsewhere. You just prefer to bitch and moan make your own excuses rather than accept the benefits of the Bush administration.
True conservatives (who have the big picture and the good of our country at the core of their beliefs) realize that politics involves a certain amount of compromise and give and take. There will never be 100% agreement on all things by all of the people who make up our diverse republic.
To even hint that there is a better solution than Bush in this election is advocating a vote against your country -- and conservative values!

So is Kerry your choice for president?
There is not a thing wrong with voicing your displeasure and disagreement with Bush on some issues and there is nothing wrong with writing him a letter and letting him know your feelings. He might even listen if he get enough input.
