I saw the Ford appearance on Fox. It was not his voting record that Ford threatened over, but Kerry's anti-war activities upon returning to the U.S.
He said that anybody who went over there and got shot at should be able to come home and say anything he wants. And, he said, if you want to talk about Jane Fonda and John Kerry (Fox had put the picture up), then the National Guard issue will not go away.
A hollow threat, no doubt, but evidently all they have and Ford was willing to publicly engage in publicly threatening to keep the Bush issue alive in order to quell looking into Kerry's interesting anti-war activities.

Another aspect that I find galling is their proposition is: If you promise not to tell the truth about our guy, we won't tell lies about yours.
