[history]
'Bush and I were lieutenants'
George Bush and I were lieutenants and pilots in the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS), Texas Air National Guard (ANG) from 1970 to 1971. We had the same flight and squadron commanders (Maj. William Harris and Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, both now deceased). While we were not part of the same social circle outside the base, we were in the same fraternity of fighter pilots, and proudly wore the same squadron patch.

What isn't true? Your italics is not my quote.
But it was always possible to miss a drill and make it later.

I'm sorry I wasn't clearer; that's from the article, spoken by Terry McAwful.
I think he's wrong about not being able to make it up.

Jane Fonda bankrolled the group that Kerry was a key member of. Vietnam Vets Against the War. They were active while the likes of John McCain were guests at the Hanoi Hilton. Meanwhile, Jane was on CNN this afternoon around 4:00 p.m with Judy Woodruff. There's too much for this thread. It's best if you visit the Vietnam Vets Against John Kerry for more detail. Further, Kerry voted to defund the CIA and other measures that didn't exactly help what happened on 9-11.
I'm trying to follow Judge Rapkin who let the repeat offender stay free so that the 11 year old ended up MURDERED. This evening on O' Reilly, Judge Rapkin is going to call O' Reilly "scum". I need to put this on a Carlie Brucia thread asap. I already saw Rapkin call O' Reilly scum but I want to see O' Reilly's reply tonight. WE HAVE CORRUPT JUDGES IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. That's my main focus.

The web site for Vietnam Vets against John Kerry is very good. Then there's the intel we couldn't afford, the 500 million dollar wife that he left for the 675 million dollar wife. More, more, more. Kerry is doing his best to act presidential but by November, all will be revealed. floriduh voter

I give great credit to Pres Bush for not dragging out anyone, unlike Kerry who is using those veterans as props.See, that's the difference between Kerry and Bush. Bush hasn't gone out across the fruited plain to search out long lost Guard buddies to cover his butt, Kerry has. Even this registered Republican Vietnam War Hero Rassman character that tags along with Kerry around the country was planted in his campaign to make him look legitimately tough. It doesn't take guts to stand on the backs of those who truly served just to make yourself look tough. I knew these "I fought in Vietnam" stump speeches would come back to haunt Kerry. The worst thing that Kerry could hope for is for the Republicans to up the ante, or turn up the heat. He may regret the day he opened up this can of worms, and that day may be the first Tuesay in November.
Kerry is a gutless, phony, Vietnam Anti-War Hero.

Kerry was "brilliant," Fonda says today. Thank you so much for finding this. I remembered reading this quote, but couldn't remember where.
I have the AZStudents article saved for future reference. Someday, my son will do his thesis on these interesting times.

I pray for the day when the draft dodging Bill Clinton comes to the aid of John F. Kerry. That day is coming. Kerry is effectively the Democrat nominee.

AT LAST!
Krogd found this on a student website (see post #512 for the link). This is the Fonda quote I remembered:
Condemning the tactics and morality of the war, Kerry was "brilliant," Fonda says today. He looked like Abe Lincoln and sounded like John F. Kennedy. "He was our ragtag commander at Valley Forge," says veterans organizer Joe Bangert.
I believe the picture was taken at the Valley Forge event.

NOW, what do you say? Never mind, I don't want to know. YOu made a real a$$ out of yourself yesterday.
To: Petronski
Critics such as Mr. Kerry (who served in Vietnam, you know), Terry McAuliffe and Michael Moore (neither of whom served anywhere) say Lt. Bush abandoned his assignment as a jet fighter pilot without explanation or authorization and was AWOL from the Alabama Air Guard. These two hypocrites need to be exposed for what they are

Even the Vietnamese are against John Kerry and are going to campaign against him.
Dan Tran is president of the Vietnam Human Rights Project and a member of Vietnamese Americans Against John Kerry.
"John Kerry aided and abetted the communist government in Hanoi and has hindered any human rights progress in Vietnam," Tran said.
Said the new coalition in a statement: "In the Senate, Kerry blocked the Vietnam human rights (and religious freedom) bill on behalf of Hanoi, while the Vietnamese Communists continue to wage a war of repression against the non-Communist Vietnamese and a war of genocide against our former allies the Montagnard ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands of Vietnam."
THE CLOSER YOU LOOK, THE WORSE KERRY IS. Wake up America!

John Gibson asked him, Since you weren't with him in Alabama, do you know for a fact that President Bush served in Alabama?
The response: Sure I do, and you should too. You saw the pay records that were released showing that he was paid for that time period. You don't get paid if you're not there.
