[history]
'Bush and I were lieutenants'
George Bush and I were lieutenants and pilots in the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS), Texas Air National Guard (ANG) from 1970 to 1971. We had the same flight and squadron commanders (Maj. William Harris and Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, both now deceased). While we were not part of the same social circle outside the base, we were in the same fraternity of fighter pilots, and proudly wore the same squadron patch.

This is called politics.
No kidding.
What did you expect?
I expected exactly what's been happening from the democrats.
Facts and truth mean nothing to them, so it is best not to respond
to every demand they make. Eventually, they end up looking foolish.

Thanks, I blanked on his name.
Lord, I hope the Repubs, Karl Rove, et.al. grow a spine on this. Time to fight fire with fire. Terry McAwful bringing this up reeks of the Clintons.

Repeat after me. A charge unanswered is a charge believed. Once more. A charge unanswered is a charge believed.

Here are Kerry's Vietnam Against the War buddies mocking the Iwo Jima flag raising on Kerry's book cover. Some of these guys probably remember Kerry from his traitor days. Any VVAW radicals want to give testimony?

"That's easy! This type of allegation isn't aimed at the general public -- it's aimed at conservative, Republican voters."
It didn't sway many here did it? It was aimed at those who are "moderates" who aren't wedded to either party. They always determine the winner. Always.

I'm not so sure about this. I heard some exit poll numbers last night and quite a number of folks in Virginia citing someone who could be GW as a prime reason they voted for Kerry, if I heard the report correct.
I work with several folks that would support a jelly doughnut if they thourght it could beat GW in the Election. There is a real hatred of the man, more than I seem to remember of folks who did not like Clinton.

The media and dem party are embraced in a death lock. Whatever pretensions people had about the so called media bias should be dispelled after watching the press conference yesterday. Ever since 9/11 the media and dems have both tried to downplay the importance of national security.

There is an ex-RiverRat in the TX panhandle who could shed some light on what kind and how many bodies bought Kerry's medals. And he spent a year over there not just 4 months.

Good post. There is another saying in the Air Force, "Watch your Six." When the Dem amature hour is over, and Kerry has to go up against Bush, we will see who the Vets support. My prediction? Bush 10 to 1 at least.
