Let's see...eyewitness testimony saying he was in Alabama....government pay stubs verifying he was in Alabama....dental records showing that he was in Alabama...an honorable discharge saying that he completed all of his duties honorably...

Any reporter who barfs this spew up should be instantly dragged kicking and screaming to the corner of the room and made to wear a dunce cap.

However, I must say I think I'd have recalled if I ever met or worked with someone whose dad was, at the time, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

I stay relatively current on politics, but I'm not a junkie. I cant even remember who the U.S. Ambassador to the UN is now...much less recognize any of his kids. In fact, if I were a 19 year old kid I wouldn't even have a clue as to why that is supposed to be important. I think Madelyn Albright was the ambassador to the UN under Clinton and I knew a kid named Eddie Albright that lived two streets over, but I wouldn't have thought they were related.

Did anyone doubt it? I disagree with Bush on some issues but I do not believe he is a liar. I do believe he is an honorable man doing his best for his country.

If that person were the son of the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., as was the case with GWB in 1972, I think I probably would, wouldn't you? However, I've been told by others that there ARE individuals who say they recall seeing him in Alabama in 1972. My only question then is: Why doesn't the White House say so loudly and clearly, and ask them to do 'the round of the talk shows' in order to squash the issue before it surfaces in the presidential debates as a question by some parasitic reporter who aspires to live in the opulent lifestyle of Bob Woodward ?

I understand you are speaking for yourself and I see no reason to think everyone would remember such a thing, BUT I think there would also be others who, like myself, would be likely to remember such a thing even if they weren't political junkies. Just an opinion. The important thing is that other posters have told me there are people who say they saw GWB in Alabama in 1972, and I think the White House should have them do the 'round of the talk shows' in order to squash the story once and for all.
